We usually get the same questions for these trials so we will try to answer them as best we can. These trials are fund-raising events where the money earned goes towards awards and holding our championship event each year. We also use these trials as a training opportunity for our new judges, so you may see multiple judges out there, and they may switch in and out and also run their dogs. Day of show entries are welcome. If you have never done NADAC before, we are offering a welcome to the venue deal where you can enter all classes each day for $20 per day. It is only valid for your first time at a NADAC trial as the handler, new dogs under a handler who has done NADAC before are not eligible. We do also require help to run these trials smoothly. So if you are entered in Open we would ask that once your dogs are taken care of and you have no other obligations to come over and help out. If you have never worked a trial before that is not a problem. All the jobs are pretty simple and we offer on the job training Worker info: Worker sign ups will be available at the trial. Workers receive $1 for every round worked. Lunch Info: Lunch is provided on Saturday and Sunday through the local deli. No charge for lunch, donations are always accepted.

Non-Jumping classes Veteran Handler: Disabled handlers or handlers aged 60 yrs. or older may opt to enter the non-jumping classes as a Veteran Handler and receive additional standard course time. This division is for handlers only. The additional SCT is for qualifying purposes only for those who may need the additional time to negotiation the course due to physical limitations. When entering as a Veteran/Disabled Handler, you must enter all classes and all dogs in this division for the weekend. As of January-2014: Dogs must enter the Veterans Dog Division in all jumping classes after their 9th birthday. After their 12th birthday, dogs must enter the Skilled Category, Veterans Division for jumping classes and Skilled Category for non-jumping classes. This is a Containerized Trial FOOD/TOYS IN POCKET: Food or a small noiseless toy may be carried into the ring in your pocket provided it is contained in a Ziploc bag or small container such as a pill bottle. The container cannot be visible in the ring nor within 10 feet of the ring. You cannot indicate to your dog that you have this item on you i.e. patting your pocket. You are not allowed to remove the container until you are at least 10 feet outside the ring. All food and toys must be contained at the trial and none can be left lying about loose. This policy has been implemented to reduce the possibility of dogs fighting over loose food or toys, diminish dogs dragging their handlers back to their crates (or wherever they left their food), and to lessen the amount of insects that are around loose food.
