In what situations does the dog become nervious? i.e around tall men, around traffic etc. Outside Great with most people...a little nervous at first but once she gets to know you & give her a fuss she is right at home. t really a nervous dog, but a little shy at first if she doesn't know you. What type of discipline is the dog used to? i.e. verbal correct, physical correct, no correct etc. How does the dog walk on the lead? i.e. beside you, out in front but not pulling, out in front and pulling? Horses only from the other side of the fence. They don't seem to bother her. She will play with them running up the fence line though. ne as we are on acreage & she does her own exercise. I bred her. Opal loves to swim in our pool, she actually does laps with me on occasions through summer. Swimming & playing with humans. t sure as she is pretty easy going. Doesn't play well with other bitches.
What is the dog like with food and toys in the presence of other dogs? Does the dog bark a lot? Have you had complaints from neighbours/council? she will try to steal it once she eats hers. not normally, but if something out of the normal is happening she will bark to protect her environment. Does the dog stress/get upset when you leave the house? If, what do they do? In general how would you explain the dogs personality/temperament? How does your dog react in the build up to storms and during storms? Why are you re-homing the dog? When does the dog need to be re-homed by? If you cannot find a new home for the dog by the deadline what are your plans for the dog? Has your dog escaped your yard before? If yes, explain how. Very loving & affectionate with people. Doesn't bother. Opal is not getting the attention I think he needs as we are always away showing our show dogs, or at work & Opal& Charlie are always left at home with my parents who come to mind them for us. As soon as possible. I will keep looking until the right home is found for her. 5-6 foot Opal who is a 4yr old female Great Dane has always been housed/run with Charlie who is a 3yr old Male Great Dane. A loving caring family, someone who can be with her most of the time and give her un-divided attention as she really needs one on one as she is such a loving & affectionate girl. A real sweetheart.
