Lockdown By Jenna, and Carlee Chapter 1 Today is Tuesday morning and everybody was in a good mood. We had just finished when. Alright everybody line up! shouted Mrs. Enger over the loud chattering of our class. Ugh we have library today. Haley groaned Stop whining you big baby! said Cory I know you are but what am I? Haley asked Cory Umm, uh, yah! stuttered Cory Everybody giggled at that comment. Later when they got to library. Time to check out your books out! Mrs. Hedges explained to our class. My twin sister Jenna and our friends Lexi, Lainie, Haley and Jesse sat down at the bean bags that were by the window that didn t look outside but up to the office. Hey Jenna what would you do if, but the intercom erupts me before I can get the rest of my sentence out. Students we will now go into lockdown. Blurts the intercom
Chapter 2 Don t worry students it s just a drill, said Mrs. Hedges. I turn to look for Jenna and the next thing you know we were both laying down on the ground rubbing our heads then all of a sudden everything went black. When I opened my eyes this happened.. GET DOWN! Jesse yelled as he tackled Haley to the floor. As Jesse tackled Haley they tumbled into a pile of books. Carlee and I started moving bookshelves to the door. The first bookshelf had cabinets half of it was bookshelves and the other half were two cabinets. Lexi and Lainie were hidden behind the bean bags petrified to move. Then we couldn t tell where Haley and Jesse were. I think they went into the storage room to hide but no one said a word except for Mrs. Hedges. Stay put everybody I will come find everybody and help you hide, whispers Mrs. Hedges. I look at Carlee and she looks like she s about to pass out Are you okay? I asked Carlee, She doesn t answer, but she points to the window and there are tracks of feet leading to the door. I point to the inside of the cabinets and Carlee nods. I guess we can kind of know what each other are saying. We crawl into the cabinets. When all of a sudden. BOOM!
Chapter 3 Jenna I m scared, I whisper to Jenna Me too, she replies if you listened closely you could hear someone walking outside the cabinet we were hiding in. I want to at least go to middle school first! Jenna complains I put my hand over her mouth before she can say anything else and get us killed. Shhhhhhhh! You will make it to middle school if you be quiet! I whisper to Jenna. We could hear the footsteps slowly getting closer and closer to us. I can slightly see the door that leads to the office. I tapped on Jenna and point towards the door Knock, knock, somebody calls from outside the cabinet. Let s go! Jenna whispers as we crawl and surprisingly he doesn t notice we are there, Until my foot hits a pile of books. He looks right at us, He was unlike anything we had ever seen. He had dark green skin, razor sharp teeth, and scaly toes. I can feel the sweat running down my forehead. Carlee, Jenna shouts Carlee! before the man could do anything Jenna grabs my hand and pulls me out of the library. We kept running until we found somewhere that could be safe to hide in, Mr. Hassler s office inside the gym.
Chapter 4 You could have got us killed! Carlee whispers furiously. She tries for the front door but it s locked. I can hear him walking around we go through the way to the cafeteria, slowly walking to the custodians office and barley lock the door in time. I start to think of something that could buy us time when it just comes to me. There is a wad of string and lighter and some Febreeze. I take the string and soak it in Febreeze. What are you doing? Carlee questions. Febreeze is highly flammable right? Yeah and your point is, We take the string and soak it in Febreeze and stick it out the door he picks it up that gives it a tug and we light it up! Jenna explained. Wow Miss. Albertina Einstein! Carlee says. I take the string dip it into the Febreeze, stick it out the door, and wait for a tug. It takes a little, but then there s a little tug and we light it up.
Chapter 5 Are you sure this is going to, I was interrupted by a very manly scream Yup it worked! Now let s get up to the roof and signal for help. she whispers in excitement. I nod in agreement to get out. She goes up first, then I go. We get up there and guess who we see? Jesse and Haley Where have you guys been we have been roaming around the school searching for you guys and trying to run away from that guy?" We have been searching for you guys. Haley exclaims. We have been searching for each other like dogs chasing their tails. I exclaim. Wait something not right, Jesse starts but before anyone can say anything he finishes with pulling a burrito out of his pocket and takes the smallest bit I have ever seen and goes, Whoa that filled me up fast that will last me another year. Wait a second something is wrong thought Carlee. Lainie and Lexi are missing!!! I shout as loud as possible so I can add that real scared effect.
Chapter 6 Well we need to go find them NOW! Jesse screams we all climb down the ladder and Jesse insists that he goes last and ladies first we make sure the guy isn t at the door so we can start our search. Clear, Jesse whispers he slowly opens the door with a small CREAK he runs out forward rolls to the hallway and again repeats, Clear, We just walk out and all give him the really you re not that cool look. We all slowly walk towards the door and slowly pull on it, IT S LOCKED what do we do now, how are we going to get out, Ok calm yourself down its ok thought Carlee You looking for these, The green man with razor sharp teeth, and old raggedy clothes. We all gasp because he has Lexi and Lainie with rags around their mouths. They are both on sort of alien looking leash type things. My foot itches. Jesse says and takes his shoes off. The most horrid odor in the world filled the room. The ugly man type thing passes out along with me, Jenna, and Haley. Jesse doesn t pass out because he is used to it and Lexi and Lainie can t breathe because of the rags. I start to see spots and look over at Jenna she looks dazed, we both pass out and that s the last thing I remember.
Chapter 7 All of a sudden I wake up on the library floor. Jenna and I jump up and we both have sweat on our faces. Everybody was hovering over us and shaking us and yelling wake up. Mrs. Hedge says, Are you Ok. You ran into each other and passed out when they called the lockdown. You really scared me. Just then Mr. States comes over the intercom and says, Everything is all safe. It was just a drill. Jenna and I both look at each other and say at the same time, Did you have a crazy dream like I had! THE END
