A Candy Cane Scent A fact fairly well known By people on the plains Is that jackalope paws Smell like candy canes. A Flaggerdoot Is Loud When a flaggerdoot of jackalopes Gallops across the plains, The sound is often mistaken For thunder or freight trains. A Wildlife Biologist's Dream It's the ultimate goal. It's every biologist's hope To be the first scientist To capture a jackalope. Can Anyone See You? Jack, jack, jackalope Run, run, run up the slope. Can, can, can anyone see you? No, no, no! Nope, nope, nope!

Do You Have Jackalope Dreams? Do you sleep with a length Of javelina hide rope Under your pillow at night, And dare to have the hope That it's only a matter of time Before you catch a jackalope? Five Little Jackalopes Five little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Four little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Three little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Two little jackalopes jumping on the bed. One little jackalope jumping on the bed. She fell off and bumped her head.

If You See a Jackalope Whether it's big, small, Brown, white, or tan, Please send a photograph To Bruce, the "Jackalope Man." I've Joined a Flaggerdoot I am standing tall. My own horn I must toot. I read like a jackalope runs. I m part of a flaggerdoot! Jackalope Essence A jackalope runs And it also jumps quite high, But is rarely seen. Jackalope Vowels Jackalope is a word That you don't often see. It includes two a's, an o, And ends with the letter e. Jackalopes Are Mimics Jackalopes are mimics That live in many places. Remember, not all human voices Come out of human faces. Jackalopes Are Real The jackalope is a wily sort Who has never yet been caught. That's why the jackalope as myth Is often mistakenly taught.

Jackalopes Are So Fast Have you ever seen a jackalope run With your very own two eyes? When a jackalope really gallops, It seems like it almost flies. Jackalopes Don't Have Spots Was a jackalope Spotted near where you live? They have no spots here. Jackalopes Seek Privacy They run across the prairie And hop around in the snow. Where folks are unlikely to see them Is where jackalopes tend to go. Keep Your Nose Open If you're looking for jackalopes On the American Great Plains, Keep your nose open. Their paws smell like candy canes.

Make Way for the Flaggerdoot Hide behind a bush. Stand very still! A flaggerdoot s coming Right up the hill! Across deserts and plains To the mountain top, Nothing alive can make A flaggerdoot stop. Soothing a Jackalope The best way to sooth a jackalope, It has often been said, Is to wave blue underwear Slowly over your head. Ten Little Jackalopes Ten little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Nine little jackalopes jumping on the bed.

Eight little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Seven little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Six little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Five little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Four little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Three little jackalopes jumping on the bed. Two little jackalopes jumping on the bed.

One little jackalope jumping on the bed. She fell off and bumped her head. The Cheetah Was Upset She just couldn't win No matter how hard she tried! The day she raced the jackalope Was the day the cheetah cried. The Flaggerdoot Thrives Our flaggerdoot thrives! It s full of future leaders. This flaggerdoot s composed of Hip, hop, happy readers! The Rumble of a Flaggerdoot Can you hear the rumbling sound As jackalope paws pound the ground? Your ears will always let you know When there s a flaggerdoot around.

To Calm a Jackalope The jackalope is a curious mix, Gentle but jumpy, too. The best way to soothe one Is to wave something blue.
