The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14, Section 3.) GENERAL AWARDS INFORMATION Dog means either sex. A qualifying score is required for all prizes in the Regular Classes. All awards will be made at the trial. No trophies will be mailed. Anyone eligible for special prizes must register with the trophy chairman. The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Where there is a multiple entry of the same dog, only the highest score will be eligible for the Special Awards. Tracking, herding, hunting and agility (AKC) titles must be listed on entry form in order to be eligible for awards requiring those titles. Junior Handlers must have an AKC Junior Handler number. RIBBON AWARDS (both days) Highest Combined Score will be a total of the scores from Advanced B and Excellent B. In case of a tie, the dog with the fastest combined time of both runs will win. If there continues to be a tie, a run-off will be run by the Rally Judge on the final course set-up for the trial per judging schedule at the completion of the Rally judging. The following placement ribbons will be awarded: Blue Ribbon - first prize Red Ribbon - second prize Yellow Ribbon - third prize White Ribbon - fourth prize Dark Green Ribbon each dog receiving a Qualifying Score. Title ribbons will be awarded for new titles earned. EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE ENTRY FEES will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. NO ENTRY FEES will be returned if show cannot open or be completed by reason of riot, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, etc., or any cause beyond the control of the Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana, Inc. THE SHOW-GIVING CLUB, the Trial Secretary, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. AKC FEES include an event service fee of $3.00 and a $3.00 recording fee for Rally. These fees are to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one obedience class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only (AKC Rules Chap. 11, Sec. 2). BITCHES IN SEASON - Entry fee less $2.00 will be refunded to entrants of bitches in these obedience trials upon written certification by a licensed veterinarian to the effect that the bitch in question is in season on the day of the trial. Notification must be received by the Secretary before 8:00 A.M. on the trial day. MOVE-UPS after the closing date will be allowed if the next level class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit. CRATE SPACE IS LIMITED. Please place chairs in front of crates.
Requests for move-ups in Rally must be submitted in writing to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. NO TRAINING RINGS will be provided before, during, or after the trials. All dogs must be on a leash at ALL times on the show grounds except when in the ring. CRATE SPACE is provided in designated areas only. NO indoor space is provided for unentered dogs. No dogs will be allowed in the building overnight. CLEAN UP after your dog. Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefit of refund if the Trial Committee deems there is a violation of this requirement. Cleaning supplies and disposal containers are available at various locations around the show grounds. No restaurants are within walking distance. PRE-SALE OF CATALOGS Catalogs will be reserved for exhibitors who pre-pay for their catalog. A very limited number will be available for sale on the trial days. Prepaid catalog price is $3.00. Catalog price the day of the show will be $4.00. If you would like to reserve a catalog, please send an additional $3.00 and check the appropriate blank on the entry form.
