The Mission The ambassador s mission is to bridge the gap between the chapter and the APS. An ambassador: Is visible and vocal about society services and benefits and represents the chapter at APS events. Presents regular society updates at each club meeting. Is a messenger of ideas and feedback to APS staff and leadership. Facilitates annual chapter reporting. Helps identify opportunities to grow the hobby and the society. The program is designed to: Increase APS membership. Increase two-way communication with APS chapters. Provide a point person on staff at APS to answer questions and work on concerns that cannot be answered by the ambassador. Have local clubs own a program with support from the national organization Provide recognition for chapters that reach a set of goals. Schedule and conduct forums for area ambassadors at national, regional and local stamp shows. 5
