Bitches in season are not tobe on the show grounds. ONLINE ENTRIES Online entries are available for these trials through AKC s Online Entry service; you will need to have a My AKC account. During the first 48 hours after opening, the initial limit of entries per day designated as either online or paper will be as follows: Friday trial, 100 runs/trial via online entries, 300 runs/trial via paper entries. Saturday and Sunday trials, 200 runs/trial via online entries, 460 runs/trial via paper entries. Dogs Eligible to Enter This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds. Bitches in season, aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance are ineligible to participate. Mixed breed dogs that have been listed with AKC Canine Partners may participate, provided their listing number has been recorded on the entry form. **Please designate the dog s breed as All American on the entry form.** Important Information for Exhibitors -- PLEASE READ! Conditional, unsigned, incomplete, illegible, telephone, fax, e-mail or telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official AKC forms, or photocopies of AKC forms without the agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form, are not acceptable. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks, for entering the same dog twice, or for entering a dog in a class for which it is not eligible, regardless of who makes such errors. Dogs wrongly entered in a class may not be transferred to another class after closing. Entries sent by express mailing services MUST have the delivery signature requirement waived; otherwise receipt may be delayed. Entries will not be considered as being received until they are delivered to the address given on the entry form. Please note the opening date of June 29, 2018; no entries will be accepted before that date. Entries for a maximum of ten (10) dogs are allowed in one envelope; envelopes containing entries for more than ten dogs will be considered invalid, and will be returned to the sender. No hand delivered entries can be accepted until 8:00 AM on June 30, 2018. ***SDTC is using a wait list to fill openings created by withdrawn entries after the trial s closing date/time. A maximum of 25 entries (runs) will be placed on each trial s wait list. All entries must have been received by the Trial Secretary prior to Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Any entries withdrawn, with notification to the Trial Secretary in writing (e-mail OK) by 6:00 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018 will be replaced by a wait listed entry, if any are available. If a withdrawn entry is replaced by a wait listed entry, a full refund will be issued for the withdrawn entry; otherwise no refund will be given for withdrawn entries, except as specified above. Any wait listed entry that does not get into the trial will receive a full refund.*** Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date, or in the event a dog is absent (other than as specified on page 2), disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by the Show Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Confirmation of entry and judging schedule will be e-mailed (or sent by postal mail to the address on the official AKC entry form, if no e-mail is provided) after the closing date; if not received at least 7 days prior to the show, contact the Trial Secretary. Acknowledgment of receipt of entries prior to closing will be provided if the exhibitor provides a valid e-mail address on the entry form, or includes a stamped, self-addressed postcard with entry. Spokane Dog Training Club, Inc. assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or spectators, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assumes no responsibility for injury to any child not under the control of his or her parents or guardians. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Show Committee, be asked to leave the show site and no refund of any fees paid will be made. All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring or designated warm-up area.

THIS CLUB DOES NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATE CLAIMS AS SET FORTH ON THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM FOR THIS EVENT. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. The safety of dogs is of primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Height Divisions REGULAR PREFERRED HEIGHT AT WITHERS Handlers may opt to run their dog in a higher height division Handlers must run their dog in their proper eligible height Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height division. 8 4 For dogs 11 inches and under at the withers 12 8 For dogs 14 inches and under at the withers 16 12 For dogs 18 inches and under at the withers 20 16 For dogs 22 inches and under at the withers 24 20 For dogs over 22 inches at the withers 24C n/a Dogs who measure into 8 through 20 regular jump height divisions may opt to enter the 24-choice height division at their owner s discretion. Dogs who measure into the 24 regular jump height division may not enter 24-choice. The entry form has a box to check if the dog needs to be measured. Please check this box if appropriate, so that the Trial Secretary knows to include your dog on the Dogs To Be Measured List. It is no longer required that you submit a copy of your dog s jump height card with your entry form or show it during day of show check-in, but it is still the exhibitor s responsibility to have their original, official jump height card or temporary jump height form at each trial to present upon request. Additionally, if a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running. Regulations for Agility Trials, Chapter 2, Section 4. Jan Skurzynski is a VMO, so measurements performed at these trials will be valid for a dog s height card (or temporary measurement if under 2 years of age), and all dogs without a permanent height card or valid temporary measurement must be measured. You will need to fill out a form with your dog s identifying information, including AKC registered name, AKC number and birth date, prior to measurement. Move-Up and Class Change Information Dogs may be moved up to a higher class at the request of the handler, as a result of completing an agility title at an earlier event, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary, in writing (e-mail is acceptable), by 6:00 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018. If a dog finishes a title during the trial, the handler may move up for the following days by filling out a move-up form (available at the event) and turning it in to the Trial Secretary within 30 minutes of the end of judging for the day. The Regulations now allow exhibitors who have entered a class, for which they or their dog are not eligible, to change their entry to a class for which they are eligible, but the request for such a change must be in writing and must be submitted to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the Trial. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT MOVEUPS CAN BE DONE AT THE LAST MINUTE! It does mean that if you have previously moved up, and then learn that your dog has not met the requirements for moving up, you may move back to the correct class; or, if you entered Novice A and the dog or handler is not eligible, you may move to Novice B. If you have questions about what class to enter, moveups, measuring, etc., DON T GUESS PLEASE ASK! Please contact the Trial Secretary at SDTCagilitysec@gmail.com. Judging Judging starts no earlier than 10:00 AM on Friday, and at 8:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Judge s briefing and course walk-through will take place prior to that time. FAST courses will be nested, with one walk-through for Excellent/Master and one walk-through for Open and Novice together. Open and Novice may also be judged together. Anticipated Order of Classes (any changes will be published in the Judging Program) Friday: Ring 1 Standard (Premier, Exc/Master, Open, Novice) Ring 2 FAST (Exc/Master, Open/Novice), JWW (Novice, Open, Ex/Master) Saturday: Ring 1 T2B, Standard (Exc/Master, Open, Novice) Ring 2 FAST (Exc/Master, Open/Novice), JWW (Novice, Open, Ex/Master) Sunday: Ring 1 Standard (Novice, Open, Exc/Master) T2B Ring 2 JWW (Premier, Exc/Master, Open, Novice) Site Information and Obstacles These Agility Trials will be held outdoors on grass, ring size 100' by 100. Two rings will be used, as noted above. Obstacles used will meet the specifications given in the current AKC regulations. Contact obstacles and tables have rubber surfaces. Electronic timers will be used. Rings will be fenced with portable fencing. Water and portable toilets are on site. Lunch is provided for workers only. We are not able to sell or accept donations for food, per Spokane County Health Department regulations. Please be prepared to provide shade for your dogs, as there is no shade on site, and crating in your car is not likely to be an option in August temperatures. SDTC reserves the right to remove a dog from an unsafe situation (e.g. a hot car) if needed. Of course, we know everyone will uphold the great reputation of agility exhibitors by cleaning up after your dogs! Directions to Show Coming from the west (Seattle/Spokane), take I-90 to the Liberty Lake exit (#296), cross the freeway and continue north on Harvard Road approximately 2 miles. Coming from the east (Idaho/Montana), take I-90 to the State Line exit (#299) and turn right off the exit ramp onto Spokane Bridge Road; go 200 feet and turn right onto Appleway, which becomes Seltice Way. Go 0.5 mile and make a sharp left onto Wellesley. Go 0.6 mile and turn right on Chase Road; go 0.5 mile to Rowan Ave. Turn left on Rowan for entrance to car parking; continue straight past Rowan for entrance to RV parking ((blacktop - turn left at large gate by school; grass parking continue past rings). Volunteer Workers As you probably know, there are quite a variety of tasks that go along with holding an agility trial, and we greatly appreciate volunteers to help share the work load. If you want to be scheduled for working ahead of time, please fill out the worker form and send it in with your entry. We will also have a white board for worker sign-up at the trials. Workers will receive lunch each day they work, and we will also have a worker drawing each day for multiple $10 certificates toward future SDTC agility entries. Vendor Information Vendors, including photographers, are welcome at our trials, but need to apply for booth space and sign a liability waiver. Booth space is $20 for the weekend for a 10 x 10 space, $25 for 10 x 20. Vendor areas will not be immediately adjacent to the rings, in order to minimize congestion at ringside. For a Vendor Application, please contact the Trial Chair at hansonmidge@gmail.com.

Awards Rosettes will be awarded to 1 st through 4 th place in each height division in each Regular and each Preferred class. Green ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving qualifying scores. Within each Regular and Preferred Standard Agility class, JWW class and FAST class, the dog earning the highest score will receive a Rosette, and a Certificate good for a $10 discount on one entry to any Spokane Dog Training Club AKC agility trial in 2018 or 2019. In the case of tied scores, the dog with the fastest yards per second running time (in FAST, the fastest time) wins. We are not awarding High in Class for Time2Beat or Premier classes. Any exhibitor whose dog completes a title at these trials will receive a New Title ribbon, or may choose a title pin instead of a ribbon if available (we are phasing them out). A Rosette and jump bar will be awarded to any dog completing a MACH or PACH at these trials. A qualifying score is required for all awards. All awards must be claimed at the show; none will be mailed. *** If you think that you may complete a MACH or PACH at these trials, please let the trial secretary know ahead of time, so that we can plan to celebrate with you! *** Accommodations Although we try to verify motel information, policies and ownerships can change; please check a facility s pet policy when making reservations, and clarify any deposits/charges ahead of time. RV camping on blacktop is also available, with a 20 foot wide entry gate, and is likely to be the best option for large RVs because of the gate/road width restrictions. Please note your preference for grass or blacktop on the camping signup form. NOTE: RV and generator exhaust MUST be vented upward if parked on grass to avoid a fire hazard. Camping is $10 per night for tents/cars/pickups, $15 per night for RV s if prepaid by the closing date of the trial; $12/$18 per night if paid on arrival. INSTRUCTIONS Handlers may opt to enter in a higher height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners SM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box. Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler number on the front of this form. Should you not have your Junior Handler number, it may be obtained from the American Kennel Club (919) 233-9767.
