Central Maine Bird Fanciers, Inc. 21st Annual Fall Show October 7, 2018 Windsor Fairgrounds Windsor, Maine
Volunteer of the Year 2018 ERIK NELSON We would like to honor Erik, our Fearless Leader, President of the Central Maine Bird Fanciers. Erik has worked for the club almost since the beginning of its inception. We are so fortunate that he has shared his expertise as a licensed judge for both the ABA and APA with us. He has judged shows for free, presented many workshops and answered countless questions along the way. Because of his enthusiasm for poultry exhibition and poultry, in general, he has been instrumental in many of us getting our starts in our hobby. Erik took over the leadership post for CMBF when founder and President Austin Brann passed away. He heads our monthly meetings, runs our fund-raising auctions, sets up and tears down for shows, and is always there for whatever is needed. Besides this, he provides sane advice, assistance and support when needed. He is the backbone of our organization, and recognition for his efforts has been way too long in coming. When you see him at the show, give him a personal thank you for all he s done and continues to do for us.
