Hi, my name is ShyAnn and I am a medium-sized Great Dane who was rescued from a local shelter. I live in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes, cats, a potbellied pig, and skin kids. I love them all! I am heartworm positive but my foster family is helping me through treatment. When I was found, it appeared I d been hit by a car. I suffered a sacroiliac luxation, hip displacement, tibia break and pelvic fracture. After 5-weeks at the vet, I was able to go to a foster home! I have a few weeks left in my external fixator (pins in my tibia) but that has not stopped me wanting to run and play! I am supposed to rest, but who wants to rest when I have a new lease on life? My vet says I will always be a special needs pup, simply because of my gait and the future aging of my body with trauma at such a young age. I am 3-years-old, weigh 11 pounds, and spayed. I am up to date on vaccines and am so ready to meet my forever family! I am a Jack Russell and Rat Terrier mix, I am fine with other dogs, and I have met some cats but wasn't too sure of them. Murphy and I came from a nasty puppy mill. I was known as #51 and I was scared to death of everything and everyone. After no progress was made in regards to my anxiousness, I went to stay with CRT s resident dog whisperer where I have made fantastic progress. My age is estimated to be around 8-years and I weigh 6 pounds. I am current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, neutered and have had a dental. In a month s time, I ve gone from wearing a leash all the time (so my foster mom could catch me) to sitting for my foster mom to pick me up. I enjoy sitting on the recliner with my foster mom, playing with the other dog in my foster mom s home, going for car rides and I ve learned to walk on a leash. I no longer stiffen up when people want to pet or hold me. I m housetrained and will let you know when I have to go outside. My perfect home would be with an older person who has a quiet home and who likes to sit in a recliner with me and watch TV.
