Exhibitors whose entry fees do not exceed $15 will NOT be issued with free exhibitor's passes. RAST Full Membership $90 Members $3; Non-members $5 (Due to a reduction in entry fee, prize money will not be awarded) NO REFUNDS ALLOWED Studs with emailed or faxed entries will still be responsible to pay outstanding entry fees if not attending show. A $10 nomination fee to accompany entries per show for competitors that do not hold MGBA membership.
CONDITIONS & REGULATIONS Run under the auspices of the Miniature Goat Breeders Association JUDGE: Bryony LePoidevin Steward: Steve Baldock JUDGING: 9.30 a.m. Thursday 26 October 2017 Sign In: 8.00-9.30am The Society's 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize ribbons will be awarded in all classes where merited. Entries will be accepted on the understanding that should they be in excess of the accommodation; the number of exhibits will be reduced accordingly. The Council of the RAST will allocate pens & exhibitors will be notified. A lunch break will be taken at the discretion of the Chief Steward. MGBA Breed shows are open to members and non-members Copy of JD & CAE testing identifying individual goats by name or tag number to Tasmanian MGBA Show Secretary jan@tbd.net.au MGBA Breed Shows are open to all registered Australian Miniature/Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy Goats holding current and up to date registration with any group Australia wide. Animals must be owned or leased by the competitor. Animals must only be shown in the breed registered on registration certificate. MGBA rules and regulations apply to goats at ALL shows including DNA, ear tagging requirements where applicable. (a) Animals registered with the MGBA to produce a copy of registration certificate on the day with show entry form or presented before show to be eligible to participate in Breed Classes. b) Animals not registered with the MGBA must have registration certificates emailed/posted in with entries to be eligible to participate in Breed Classes. Competitor participation in events is at the MGBA discretion and non-members will be required to agree to the MGBA code of sportsmanship when submitting entries. Those not abiding by MGBA rules will be removed from show and any wins forfeited. All MGBA rules and regulations apply to shows. It is the competitor s responsibility to follow all DPI and governing bodies state rules and requirements for tick, and disease as well as movement of goats between states and to and from MGBA shows. MGBAA and RAST Rules and Regulations apply. Full Show Rules are a supplement to this schedule and can be found on the Miniature Goat Breeders Association Website http://www.miniaturegoatbreedersassociation.com.au MGBAA Inc Breed Standards, Heights and Regulations will govern breed related issues IN ALL CASES. All Animals must be measured in prior to the commencement of judging and are to be brought up to the measuring station as directed by the steward. Animals not measured will not be permitted to show. Animals must have NLIS ear tag in place and Identification must be confirmed prior to commencement of judging. Animals should be good breed examples and must NOT have horns. All animals must be in healthy condition, free of ticks, lice and visible signs of disease or health problems. It is desirable that goats have been vaccinated.
Exhibitors and handlers are to conduct themselves in an exemplary manor at all times. Abusive, disruptive or unsportsmanlike behaviour will result in the exhibitor/handler being excused from the ring, forfeiture of fees/prizes/awards & disqualification from competing in further classes. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of exhibit, award/s being permanently removed & forfeiture of entry fees. Photos & results of classes / animals will be published as the Show Society / MGBAA require. CONDITION OF PARTICIPATION: Separation to prevent movement of faeces or contaminated food, water or bedding. Adequate supervision of animals at the venue. Restrict animals to designated area by tethering or penning when not being led. Prompt removal of faecal materialregularly removed to no access plastic lined bins. This is particularly important in laneways and judging areas. Equipment must be cleaned regularly and stored at or in a bin. (Responsibility of each stud to clean up after themselves). Sick goats not permitted on grounds. In interpreting the show/event regulations, any decision made by the show committee/manager is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Animals are only eligible to enter one breed type section (general section or Nuwby type section). Nuwby types entered will be assessed on the day by the steward for confirmation of correct entry section and will be moved to correct classes if applicable. All animal must have identifying ear tags in place and must match MGBA registration certificate. For updates to ear tag numbers please contact your registrar via Email/text/phone before sign in to update your ear tag and pencil new tag number on registration certificate. All exhibitors/participants are responsible for arranging their own public liability insurance and other insurances. This Association or any of its representatives will not under any circumstances hold itself/themselves liable for any accident, loss or damage and it shall be a condition of entry/participation that each exhibitor/participant shall hold MGBAA and anyone associated with the organisation/conduct of event, blameless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising through any accident, loss, non-delivery or damage whatsoever. It is a condition of entry that EXHIBITS may not be removed before 4.30 pm. Signing of your entry form indicates that you and any person participating with you, agree to the following inclusions; I/we agree that I/we are responsible for checking the catalogue and that I/we are responsible for having corrections made prior to judging.
