Poor Studies But. Overall rate of infection in oral bone grafting procedures can be high (up to 20% for ramus bone grafting) Single dose pre-operative ABx (1 hour prior to procedure) is just as effective as pre-op and post-operative course. Both PCN and CLD are effective prophylactic agents for bone grafts.
