All exhibitors should obtain a copy of the Regulations for Agility Trials by contacting the American Kennel Club, 8051 Arco Corporate Dr., Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27617-3390, by phone (919) 233-9767, by email at info@akc.org, or on their website at www.akc.org. ABOUT THE FACILITY Top Notch Canines is a NO SMOKING and alcohol free facility. Please refrain from smoking while on the property. Top Notch Canines has indoor restrooms and excellent evaporative cooling throughout the warehouse. Additional fans will be placed to maintain optimal airflow in the crating area. If you wish to bring additional fans please plan on battery power. Practice area and rings feature Comfort King matting. The building does not have heating and can be cool depending on exterior temperatures. The site is located in an industrial area. Outside areas are concrete or asphalt. If your dog has tender feet, boots to protect the feet from the hot summer surface may be warranted. There is no place to throw a ball or other toy. You may wish to devise other games or tricks to warm up your dog prior to your runs. WARM UP AREA. A warm up area with a single practice jump will be provided outside on matting with canopies. If space permits a practice jump may be moved inside. SPECIAL REQUEST. To help protect the matting on the floor from the granite, grit and grime of Arizona we request that everyone clean and inspect the shoes they will be wearing and remove pebbles and pieces of granite since these may damage the flooring. It helps to wear another pair of shoes to the event and enter the building by walking on the allweather mat to the kennel area. Once there you can sit down to change your shoes. IMPORTANT: no dollies/carts inside the building. We ask that while on matting, all beverages must be contained in sealable containers and unsealed containers must not be left unattended. CRATING AREA. There will be adequate crating space for everyone as long as everyone plans ahead and doesn't use an excessive amount of space. Personal chairs will not be allowed in the crating area. Chairs are welcome in the spectator area. We have allowed for approximately 6 foot wide aisles in the crating area so dogs will not be in each other's faces when moving to and from the kennel area. Space is at a premium and we ask that if you must bring an un-entered dog, it cannot not take the space of an entered exhibitor; its crate must be stacked on top of an entered dog s crate. Please refer to the crating area map on Top Notch Canine website for more information. Please plan to stack crates if needed. Only soft sided kennels may be placed directly on the matting; all wire/metal kennels must be placed on some type of rug, towel etc that will protect the mat from damage. Limited X-pens will be allowed but please only for 3 or more dogs and MUST be on concrete area. Shelving will be provided for stacking smaller crates. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create an unnecessary disturbance or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the trial committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Top Notch Canines, LLC and Border Collie Club of Arizona and its agents, employees, etc., will assume no responsibilities for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s): Exhibitors are prohibited from pottying their dog on the property of neighboring businesses. Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefit of refund if the Trial Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement. Cleaning supplies and disposal sites will be available at various locations around the show grounds. Canine Health: Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian s recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Arizona law requires rabies vaccine every 3 years.

All dogs must be on leash or secured in a crate at all times when on trial grounds except when in the designated warmup area or competing on the course. We are in an industrial area and large semi-trucks frequent the area. Please watch your dogs! The judging will start promptly. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly in order that the judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for the judging of their class. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. The safety of the dog is our primary concern. Any exhibitor entering this trial acknowledges that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all of the obstacles safely. Do not leave dogs in closed vehicles!!! All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against Top Notch Canines LLC or anyone associated with Top Notch Canines LLC, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. Entries: The Club and Trial Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry form by the owner or agent of the owner. Incomplete and/or illegible entries will not be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor! Be sure to write legibly, complete each required field, make sure you are entered in either all Regular or all Preferred classes (do not mix), include a copy of the AKC Agreement, and sign the entry form. If, because of weather, riots, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no entry fees will be refunded. Top Notch Canines, LLC and Border Collie Club of Arizona reserve the right to decline entries for cause or may remove any dog on account of disease, aggression or other causes. No one shall have any recourse or claim against Top Notch Canines, LLC and Border Collie Club of Arizona or any official thereof. Waitlist: Border Collie Club of Arizona is offering a wait list to fill openings created by withdrawn entries after the trial's closing date/time. A maximum of 20 entries will be placed on the club's wait list. All entries, including wait listed entries, must be received by the Trial Secretary on or before the listed closing date and time. Any entries withdrawn by Monday (6pm) before the trial will be replaced by a wait listed entry if any are available. Any wait listed entry that does not move off the wait list into the trial will receive a full refund for unfilled runs. Returned checks and incomplete checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will assess a collection fee of $30 in addition to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent entries from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a cash-only basis. Spam Blocker: CONFIRMATIONS WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL USING THE SECRETARY'S ADDRESS (DeniseCTNC.ts@topnotchcanines.com). RV Parking Due to limited parking and maneuvering space on site, RV s may not park on-site during the day. RV s which fit in a standard parking space may park on site. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners SM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box. Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler number on the front of this form. Should you not have your Junior Handler number, it may be obtained from the American Kennel Club (919) 233-9767. If the Junior Handler is not the owner of the dog identified on the face of this form, what is the relationship of the Junior Handler to the Owner?
