Poultry 2018 Ozark Empire Fair Springfield, Missouri POULTRY Entry Deadline: July 2 Junior Show: 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3 Open Show: 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, Annex ARRIVAL: Junior show birds must be in place by 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 3 Open birds must be in place by 8 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4 RELEASE: 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4 **New for 2018** The 2018 Ozark Empire Fair is sanctioned by both the American Bantam Association and The American Poultry Association. The Ozark Empire Fair has accepted the Official Show Rules from the ABA & APA to govern the 2018 Poultry Show. The American Standard of Perfection will be used for judging. REGULATIONS - Standard and Bantam 1. Coop charge is $1.50 per bird. 2. ENTRY DEADLINE IS JULY 2. All entries must be postmarked by this date. No late entries accepted. 3. Complete all information as requested on entry blank, using code supplied for age and sex. Please mark "bearded" and "non-bearded" for the entries for which this applies. 4. Each exhibitor will be sent admission credentials for bringing and picking up entries. Please use Gate 10. An official release slip must accompany entries leaving the grounds. Anyone leaving before release time will forfeit all prize money won and the right to further participation. 5. Competition is open to the world but, due to space limitations, entries will be limited to the first 300 birds. 6. All birds except waterfowl must be pullorum-typhoid tested as per MO Department of Agriculture regulations. See Livestock Entry Rules. 7. Each bird must wear a numbered leg or wing band. 8. PRIZE MONEY: 1st = $3; 2nd = $2; 3rd = $1. Prize money will NOT be paid unless there are at least two entries in the class. An exhibitor may not win more than two monies per class. 9. All entries will be judged to fifth place by the latest edition of the ABA & APA Standard. 10. SHOWROOM MANAGEMENT: Greatest care will be taken of all exhibits, but Ozark Empire Fair will not be responsible for any accident, mistake, loss or damage, regardless of cause. No one except those in charge of show and judge will be allowed to handle birds on exhibition without consent of owner or superintendent. 12. A card will be furnished for the variety name and the name of the owner. Card will be opened after judging. No advertising matter will be allowed without permission of the superintendent. 13. No poultry may be removed from the premises until release on Saturday evening.
