MOVE-UPS AT THE TRIAL: Move-ups from Sat to Sun for duplicated classes will be taken until the end of the last class on Sat. No exceptions. MEASURING: There will be no measuring of dogs after the judge s briefing begins each day. All dogs without a Permanent Card (P-Card) must be measur before the judge s briefing to show that day. There will be no exceptions. PRIZES & AWARDS: Placement rosettes or ribbons will be awarded for 1 st through 4 th place for Qualifying and non-qualifying scores for all classes. Dogs with an NT (no time) are not eligible for any ribbons. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score, and Jr Handlers in Standard. EXERCISE YOUR DOG RESPONSIBLY! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG AT THE SHOW SITE AND HOTELS! ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH EXCEPT WHEN IN THE RING OR WARM UP AREA. THERE IS A LEASH LAW IN OREGON. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the show committee. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) and / or children. Any exhibitor whose dog(s) and / or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the show committee, be asked to leave the show site. In that case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate, and legible information on the entry forms: illegible or incomplete entries cannot be entered in the show. Additionally: Confirmation letters will be sent by email except if there is no email address listed on the entry form or the exhibitor specifically requests to receive his/her confirmation letter by postal mail. 100% of entry fees will be refunded if requested before or on the closing date of October 25, 2012. Refunds for withdrawals requested after the closing date but before the first competition date listed in this premium will be made only for injured or ill handlers or injured, ill or in-season dogs. Owner/handler will receive a refund less a $20 per dog handling fee. Verification from a doctor or vet may be requested. There shall be no refunds for withdrawals requested on or after the first competition date listed in this premium, regardless of the reason. Checks will be held until the closing date. There will be a $20 service charge for returned checks. Payment in full of entry fees and service charges shall be made by money order or cash before the first date of competition listed in this premium. Exhibitors are advised that other public and private events may occur within the fairgrounds complex on the same dates as this trial. To ensure the continued availability of this site, exhibitors must conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner. Exhibitors are responsible for the appropriate conduct of their guests, children and dogs. There shall be no smoking in the boundary of the show site, which shall include the arena building and all entrances to the arena building. Dogs must be exercised only in designated areas. DIRECTIONS TO SHOW SITE: Benton County Fairgrounds 110 SW 53 rd Street, Corvallis, Oregon Take I-5 to Exit 228 (Hwy. 34 to Corvallis). As you enter Corvallis, Hwy. 34 becomes Harrison Blvd. Remain on Harrison through Corvallis to 53 rd Street. Turn south (left) onto 53 rd Street (Walnut Blvd. becomes 53 rd at the light). Benton County Fairgrounds is approximately ¼ of a mile on the right. Alternate route: As you approach Corvallis on Highway 34, do not cross the bridge into town, but turn LEFT at the light before the bridge; this takes you to the downtown bypass. Continue (west) to the light at 53 rd St. (Bi-Mart will be on your left). Turn right (north) onto 53 rd Street. The Fairgounds is approximately ½ miles on the left.

Some motels have exceptions to their usual rules for show dogs. ON-SITE RV CAMPING There are 2 types of on-site RV camping available at Benton County Fairgroun (BCF) for the WAG trial. Tent camping is not available on the dates of this trial. $26 per night: This is a special WAG rate. Electrical & water hook-ups only; access to restrooms and showers. These spaces are at the front of the Fairgrounds near the arena where the trial is being held. This rate also applie to overnight camping or sleeping in any vehicle (car, truck, van). $32 per night: Electrical, water, cable, sewer, and other goodies; access to restrooms and showers. These deluxe spaces are somewhat farther away concrete slabs with grass surrounds. The Fairgrounds has wi-fi Internet accessible with a code; the code will be give out with payment. To reserve a $26 per night space: Mark the appropriate line on your trial entr form and send the additional $26 per night to WAG with your entry fees. You w receive a camping tag by postal mail, which must be displayed in your camping rig. You are not allowed to park in the deluxe spots for this price. Available on a first-come, first-served basis; there are 25-30 of these spaces. To reserve a $32 deluxe space: Contact BCF directly at 541-766-6521, 766-6088, or 766-6089. BCF has told us to tell you that it is better to reserve the sp than wait and that your credit card does get charged when you reserve. With 24 hours notice BCF will refund your money via a County check. over 24 24 20 20 16 General CPE rules for entries/show site: Dogs must be at least 15 months or older the first day of the trial Blind (both eyes), lame, in season or aggressive dogs may not enter the show. The Club may choose to exclude any of the above from the site. Dogs must be registered with CPE prior to the closing date of the trial, or by the trial date for Day Of Show entries. Registration forms are on the Forms page: www.k9cpe.com. Forms MUST be mailed to CPE and are processed 2-3 times per week. CPE ID numbers are emailed to legible email addresses. Registrations can only be processed from mailed forms. Dogs must be able to be measured at their first show. If a dog cannot be measured, the dog cannot run and no refund will be issued. Dogs within ½ of a jump height require at least one more measurement. When dogs reach their second birthday, a measurement is required. All dogs must be measured at their first trial regardless of jump height. Only CPE Judges can measure dogs. Electronic shock collars are not allowed at ANY CPE trial training or bark. Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the start of the class. A warm-up jump shall be provided for all entered dogs. No relieving of dogs in the warm-up area. Dogs in the ring, leashes, exiting the ring Dogs shall run without anything attached to its body. This is for the safety of the dog. This includes no: collars, stitches, wraps or any other item. The only exception is a small barrette or rubber band to keep hair out of a dog s eyes. Leashes may not have anything (other than name/license tags) attached to them when used in the ring. Dogs may enter the ring on a collar, quick release harness or head halti/leader. If prong collars are allowed per the show site, they may not be used to take a dog into the ring. Dog grabbing its leash at the end of a run (if the run has not yet ended, the dog would receive an NT) Asking the dog once for a sit or down on the table in the point games (askin more than once will be a delay of finish, 5 faults/points) The following items are considered training in the ring: Violating the 4 paw safety rule (directing the dog back onto the contact) Start line stay leaving the dog and going back again to reposition the dog after the handler passes the plane of the first obstacle (before the handler leaves the dog, repositioning or repeated commands can be a delay of star Putting the dog back on the table in the point games While running on course The handler will direct the dog through the course without a collar or lead. Food, toys, training devices (includes fanny packs and leash attachments) are not allowed within 10 feet of the ring. Clickers, training whistles and squeaky toys are not to be used within distraction distance of the ring. The handler may not carry anything that could aid the dog in its performance. Exclusion: Handicapped/Differently Abled Handlers using a cane, scooter, wheelchair, etc., to enable their progression around the course. The handler may use any verbal or visual commands to direct the dog through the course. The Judge may assess a 5 fault penalty to elimination for any command that is not given in a sportsmanlike manner. Faults can be, but are n limited to: foul or abusive language, display of anger, extreme frustration or excessive harshness. If the fault is severe enough, the Judge has the right to excuse the exhibitor from the ring and / or the remainder of the trial. If excused from the trial, a report would be filed with CPE. Exception: Handicapped handlers that have a mobility problem in picking up the leash at the finish may put their leash in their pocket the leash must be out of sight. Dogs must be under the handler s control when leaving the ring or the judge may enter the run as No Time - NT. Training a dog in the ring during a run There is no training in the ring at a CPE agility trial. First offense will result in an excusal from the run. Further offenses will result in additional excusals for the day/weekend per the judge s discretion. This is for the safety of the dog. The following items are not considered training in the ring (also see FEO):

This also includes if there was a correction to a scribe sheet the handler must verify that the results were corrected as well.

CRATING SPACE In addition to space inside the arena building, the outdoor covered courtyard has been reserved for supplemental crating space. FOOD It is not yet known whether a food vendor will be on site at the trial. This information will be communicated to exhibitors by email about a week before the trial. DONATION A percentage of the trial proceeds will be donated to a charity of the Trial Committee s choice. VENDORS If you would like to be a vendor at this trial, please contact Patty Stodola (dsmpks@msn.com) by Friday, October 26, 2012. The "fee" for vendor space is a $25 donation in goods/services to the raffle or a payment of $25, payable to WAG. Vendor space is limited and must be reserved in advance; priority for vendor space is given to those who are participating in the trial. For the safety and enjoyment of everyone at the trial, all vendors are asked to use a modest amount of space for their displays and to cooperate with WAG in the location of their space at the trial facility. Workers will ear coupons to use with the food vendor or to buy raffle tickets. Experience is not needed fo any job; we will teach you. We do our best to avoid conflicts; however, if a conflict does happe let the Chief Ring Steward know right away and s/he will help you find a different volunteer for your slot.
