$$$ ENTRY FEES PER SHOW $$$ First Conformation Entry of Each Dog Per Show $27.00 Additional Conformation Entry of Same Dog Per Show $20.00 (Additional entry for these events is defined as Non-Regular Classes for Stud Dog and Brood Bitch and does not include sweepstakes) Bred By Exhibitor Classes $22.00 Puppy and Veteran Classes $22.00 Puppy & Veteran Sweepstakes (must also be entered in a regular class) $18.00 Junior Showmanship $5.00 CLASSIFICATION -- Regular Classes The following classes will be provided for both Dogs and Bitches: Puppy: 6 Mos. & Under 9 Mos. Bred By Exhibitor Horse Coat Puppy: 9 Mos. & Under 12 Mos. American Bred 12 Mos. & Under 18 Mos. Open Brush Coat Novice Open Horse Coat Amateur Owner Handler Winners Bred By Exhibitor Brush Coat Best of Breed NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES Veteran Classes for Dogs and Bitches 7 years of age and older Winners from these classes are eligible, if undefeated in another class, for Best of Breed Competition. Note: Chapter 11, Section 8, of the Dog Show Rules provides that castrated males and spayed females may be entered in the Veteran Classes at specialty shows. Entry Fee: $22.00 NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULIPLE DOG ENTRIES STUD DOG CLASS is for Stud Dogs and at least two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the regular classes, or, if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed Competition, but MUST be entered in the Stud Dog Class. The Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the AKC Dog Show Rules, AKC Policy, or the standard of the breed. Entry Fee: $20.00 BROOD BITCH CLASS is the same as for the Stud Dog class except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. Note: Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Dog Show Rules provides that castrated males may be entered as the Stud Dog and spayed females may be entered as the Brood Bitch. As the judge s decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. 4

BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs, which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owner s records. If at the end of the 90 day period, the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmed by the AKC. AWARD OF MERIT After awarding Best of Breed, Best of Winners, and Best Opposite Sex, the judge may award up to a maximum of three (3) Awards of Merit to exhibitors in the breed ring that are, in the judge s opinion, outstanding specimens. The total number of Awards of Merit the judge is allowed to award is determined by the total number of dogs and bitches competing in the Best of Breed Competition as follows: 1-10 Entries (1); 11-14 Entries (2); 15 or more Entries (3). Best of Breed, Best of Winners, and Best Opposite Sex, Select Dog and Select Bitch are not eligible.
