Show regulations JURISDICTION The show will be held under licence of the Irish Kennel Club as in force at the date of publication of the schedule. REGISTRATION; All dogs entered for Competition or otherwise must be registered or transferred at the Irish Kennel Club, Fottrell House, Harolds Cross Bridge, Dublin 6W. Tel +353 (1) 4533300 VENUE: The show will be held at Ferry House Sports Complex, Waterford Road, Clonmel, Co Tipperary on Saturday 18 th August 2018 ENTRIES: Entries will be received up to and including the 27 th of July 2018 by the show secretary, Mr Pat Kerrisk, Pikevale, Killeagh, Farranfore, Co Kerry. Telephone 00353872964338. The promoting body reserves the right to refuse any entry. The secretary will not be responsible for entries not received. No entry will be accepted on the day. A transfer of an incorrect entry as to the sex may be allowed by the secretary prior to the commencement of judging and a dog entered in an age class for which it is not eligible may be transferred to the next appropriate age class if applicable but in no other respects. FEES: 1 st dog Euro 19/ Stg 19, additional dogs Euro 7 /Stg 7. Breeders class Euro5/ 5 stg. Baby puppy class Euro 7 /stg 7. Fees for exhibits arriving late or failing to arrive or rejected on veterinary grounds will be forfeited. No entries will be accepted without the appropriate fees, which cannot be refunded under any circumstances. CATALOGUE: Exhibitors who are members will receive a free catalogue on show day. Otherwise catalogues must be prepaid with entry; there will be no catalogues for sale on show day VETERINARY EXAMINATION: The veterinary surgeons in attendance will have the power to exclude any exhibit, which in their opinion is not in a fit state for exhibition on account of disease etc. JUDGE: In the event of the appointed judge failing to keep his or her engagement, the committee shall have the right to appoint another judge. JUDGING: (a) Handling classes will commence at 10.30 am sharp.breed Judging will commence at 11.00 am. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit being late. (b) No person will be allowed in the judging ring except the judge, show officials or an exhibitor talking in a dog for adjudication. (c) The exhibition number of each dog must be clearly displayed by the handler who shall not wear a badge or any other decoration in the judging ring. (d) The club will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through acci- 1
dent or damage by exhibitors, exhibits or other persons attending the show. INTERPRETATION: The committee of The All Ireland Golden Retriever Club shall be the show committee within the meaning of The Irish Kennel Club rules and all disputes (if any) shall be dealt with by the committee. Parties to any such disputes shall have the right to appeal to the Irish Kennel Club. EXHIBITS: Each competitor shall be responsible for keeping their exhibits under proper control at all times. VIDEO: It is a Kennel Club regulation that permission must be sought from the show promoting body for the use of video recording equipment. Permission must also be sought from the judge. INTRODUCING OUR JUDGE Our Judge this year is Rosemary Easton from Australia. Rosemary has shown Golden Retrievers for the past forty nine years; her kennel affix is Montego. Rosemary has owned and bred 74 Australian Champions & has judged in many countries including Australia, New Zealand, America & England. We extend a warm welcome to Rosemary on her first judging appointment in Ireland and hope she enjoys her visit to our country. DEFINITION OF CLASSES AT BREED CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW (All age classes computed from date of birth.) Baby Puppy Class is confined to puppies of four months of age and under six months of age on the first day of the show. Baby Puppies are confined to this class and may not compete for any other award Minor Puppy Class is confined to puppies of six months and under nine months of age on the first day of the show. A Puppy Class is confined to dogs over six and under twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Junior Class is for dogs between 9 and 18 calendar months of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. (. An Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 calendar months of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. An Adult Class Is For Dogs Between 24 And 36 Calendar Months Of Age On The First Day Ofthe Show An Open Class is for dogs over 15 months of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Champions Class is for dogs who have gained the Title of Champion under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under a recognised Kennel Authority confirmed by the date of closing of entries.* A Veteran Class is for dogs over eight years of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.. Please Note: A Veteran Dog who is a Champion may enter in either Veteran or Champion Class but not both. N.B.: A Dog or Bitch may be entered in ONE BREED CLASS ONLY (No double entries) A Breeders Class is for a minimum of three and a maximum of five exhibits of the same breed and variety without distinction of sex bred by the same person (same kennel name) even if they are not his/her property. Dogs entered in restricted classes must also be entered in one of the Standard Classes for the breed.
