Sweden Abstract HEDevrsr, K.J. Notes on Chalcidoidea (Hym.). Y. Legolasia dinotiscoides gen. n., sp. n. and Trgchnosoma ernobii sp. n,, two new Pteromalids from Sweden (Pteromalidae). Ent. Tidskr. 95: ll7121,1974..{ nerv Pteromalid gents, Legolasio gen. n., rn'ith thc tvpe species I. rlinotiscoicles sp. n., and the nerv species Trgchnosonut ernobii sp, n. are described from Sweden, thc former from SkAne (Scania), the latter from Stockholm. u'here it was reared from Ernobius nigrinus Sturm (Col. Anobiidae). The hitherto unkno*'n male of 7'. punclipleuro (Thoms.) is also described. Leglolosia gen. n. Head rvider than thorax. Antennae, 11263, inserted in the middle of face nearer to median ocellus than anterior margin of clypeus. Funicular joints rvith one rotv of sensilla. Cl1'peus rvith straight anterior rnar'gin. I{andibles with 3+3 teeth. Occiput not rnargined. Pronotal collar with sharp carina and prepectus large. Propodeum without median carina, plicae indistinct, nucha rvanting. Hind tibia rvith 1 spur. Fore rving rvith basal cell nude, only basal vein rvith feu'hairs, speculum large. Costal cell l'ith a complete row of hairs on the underside. Marginal vein as long as postmarginal vein and twice as long as stigmal vein. 'I'ype species: L. dinotiscoides sp. n. 'Ihe name of the new genus is taken from "f'he Lord of the Rings" bl' J. R. R. Tolkien. 8 Legolasia dinotiscoides sp. n.?. Heaa blue rvith a tint of green, thorax green rvith a tint of blue. Gaster brorvn rvith a faint tint of blue and green. Ilandibles and antennae fuscous, scapus 1'ellorvish brorvn. Coxae of the same colour as thorax, trochanteres, fore tibiae, tips of rnid and hind tibiae and all tarsi except clau,joints yellorvish bro.lvn; all femora, mid and hind tibiae and clawjoints brorvn (fernora somervhat dalker). Wing veins pale vellorvish brorvn. Head (fig. I ) large rvith reticulation. Clypeus smooth (fig. 2 B) rvith anterior margin straight. Malar space longel than half the length of an eye. Eyes nearly circular, POL trvice OOL. Scape reaching mid ocellus, lst funicular joint as long as pedicellus (fig. 2 C). Pronotal collar distinctly angled on each
Paratype: 3 Q, in coll.mea, from the same locality. Legolasia g. n. is similar to Dinofi.scus Ghesq. (fig. 2 AD). The differences may be summed up as follows: l. Clypeus punctated with two teeth or sinuated on anterior margin. Propodeum r*'ith a median carina. Funicular joints with at least two rorvs of sensilla. Hind coxae (fig. 2 F) dorsalll' with many hairs.. Dinotiscus Ghesq.. Clypeus smooth with anterior margin straight. Propodeum without median carina. Funicular joints rvith only one row of sensilla. Propodeum (fig. a B) more coarsely reticulate (Iarger meshes). Speculum with scattered hairs. Gaster elon Trgchnosoma ernobii sp. n.?. Dark blue with mouthparts brownish. Antenna: scape blue with base yellowish brown, pedicellus blue and the rest of antenna brown. 'Iegula and rving base 1'ellorvish. Legs: coxae of the same colour as thorax, fore tibia, trochanteres and tarsus dark yellorvish brown, base and apex of mid and hind tibiae and tarsi except clarvjoints pale vellowish brorvn. Mid and hind tibiae and clarvjoints brown, all femora darh hrolvn rvith a tint of blue. Gaster with a golden band on posterior' prart of the segments. Wing veins brorvn. 6. Unknorn'n. Length: 3.5 mm. Holotype: in coll.mea, Uppland, Stockhohn l5l2 1964, leg. K.J. Hedqvist. Reared from Ernobius nigrinus Sturm (Col. Anobiidae) living in shoots of Pinus cembra.
