OIE International standards Aquatic Animal Health Code Manual of Diagnostic Tests for Aquatic Animals The OIE mandate has included aquatic animals for over 60 years. Standards are adopted by consensus by the World Assembly of Delegates.

Ensure sanitary safety of international trade in aquatic animals and their products Improve aquatic animal health worldwide Based on the most recent scientific and technical information Development and adoption procedures are transparent, responsive and democratic Code and Manuals available online: http://www.oie.int

Aquatic Animal Health Code

Purpose of the OIE Aquatic Code Provide standards to be used by Veterinary or Competent Authority: to determine measures providing for early detection, reporting, notification and control of aquatic animal diseases; to determine measures to ensure safe international trade of aquatic animals and their products, while avoiding unjustified sanitary barriers to trade; for the establishment, maintenance and evaluation of Aquatic Animal Health Services.
