The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog AND an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder AND owner of record. Non-Regular Classes (Involving Single Dog Entries) VETERAN DOGS CLASS VETERAN BITCHES CLASS A Class for Dogs and a Class for Bitches 7 Years of Age and Older NOTE: Neutered Dogs & Spayed Bitches are allowed to compete in Veterans Classes Winner of both Veterans Classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed. BEST OF VARIETY COMPETITION BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed (Variety) Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record. Dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owners records. If at the end of the 90 day period the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmed by AKC. OBEDIENCE TRIAL CLASSES THURSDAY ONLY Qualifying Score required for All Prizes in Regular Classes. A Dark Green Qualifying Ribbon "Dog" means either sex. No refund for bitches in season. CLASSIFICATION Regular Classes Novice Class A Novice Class B Open Class A Open Class B Utility Class A Utility Class B The regular entry fee will be charged for these classes. The particular class you desire to enter must be shown on the entry form. Dogs enered in the breed classes may also be entered in these classes by paying the additional entry fee. Non-Regular Class Graduate Novice SPECIALTY CLUSTER OBEDIENCE THURSDAY ONLY All Specialties in this Cluster that are offering Obedience Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed s judge s book. For the group exercises all breeds will be judged in one group. If there are more dogs competing than can be spaced four (4) feet per dog on one side of a ring, some must be judged in another group. The judge will divide the class into equal sections and the group exercise will be judged after each section. Following completion of group exercises, the judge will complete the judge's books for all dogs entered in each Obedience class in the respective breed s judge s book. Ribbons and awards will then be awarded by breed. Qualifying points are based on the number of dogs in each breed only. ENTRIES CLOSE DEC. 31, 2003 COLUMBIA POODLE CLUB - 5

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. Effective for events held on and after January 1, 2004, the AKC will collect a $1.50 AKC Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. The current 50 cent recording fee will continue to be collected. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for the AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Event/Recording Fees to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Chapter 11, Section 2). CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER- NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Only dogs eligible for this show will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. The judging will start promptly. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging, and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. ENTRIES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the show. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time.
