Class Description Please see the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for current class descriptions. Dogs must be entered only in Regular Classes or Preferred Classes with no crossover between them allowed at the same set of trials. Obstacles Obstacles will conform to the requirements in the current edition of the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials. Weave pole spacing is 24. Contacts are rubberized. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind or deaf, bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect a dog s physical or mental performance are not eligible to compete. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. Paper entries received within the fi rst 24 hours must include postage or be metered. Entries must be delivered by multi-state or multi-national postal or carrier service, including but not limited to USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. You must waive the signature requirement for delivery services, if applicable. Limit of 10 dogs per envelope. No hand deliveries can be accepted in the fi rst 24 hours. All entries must be submitted on offi cial AKC Agility entry forms, one dog per entry form. Photocopies of entry forms without the AKC Agreement are not acceptable. Unsigned, incomplete, or illegible entries are not acceptable. If you would like confi rmation that your entry was received before the trial has closed, please include your email address or enclose a self-addressed stamped postcard. Entries cannot be changed once the trial has closed. Please check your entries! After Closing Waiting List A waiting list (30 run maximum) will be maintained for this trial once it has closed on April 17. The waiting list will be active until its deadline Monday, May 6, 6:00 pm CDT. Any dogs that are entered in this trial at closing and pulled before the waiting list deadline will be replaced, if possible, by dogs in order on the waiting list, and the exhibitor will be reimbursed in full. If a dog is pulled but cannot be replaced, the exhibitor will not receive a refund and the dog will be considered absent for the trial. Entry fees for dogs on the waiting list that do not get into the trial by the waiting list closing date will be refunded in full. Height Divisions Owners are responsible for entering their dogs in the proper height divisions. Height divisions are: Dogs Measuring Regular Agility Preferred Agility at the withers May enter in a higher jump MUST enter the AKC height than required but not mandated jump height in a lower jump height 11 and under 8 4 14 and under 12 8 18 and under 16 12 22 and under 20 16 over 22 24 20 at owner s discretion 26 ---- AKC Jump Height Cards All dogs competing in agility must possess an offi cial AKC Jump Height Card. An offi cial AKC Jump Height Card is defi ned as either a permanent jump height card, a valid temporary jump height form, copies of two different measuring forms (placing the dog in the same height class) dated on or after the dog s second birthday, or copies of three different measuring forms (two of which place the dog in the same height class) on or after the dog s second birthday. All dogs (except those jumping 24 or 26 ) without jump height cards/forms must be measured/ wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class; this measurement will be valid for the weekend of trials only. If a Volunteer Measuring Offi cial or an Agility Field Rep is present, all dogs without a valid jump height card/form must be measured at some time during the trial. If the dog cannot be measured by the VMO prior to running, it must be measured by the judge before its fi rst run. You are not required to show your height card or send a copy with your entry. You are required to mark on your entry form if your dog needs to be measured. Move-ups For the Thursday trial: MOVE-UPS close at 6:00 pm CDT, Monday, May 6. Move-ups may be sent by regular mail or email to the Trial Secretary. If an email address is provided with your entry, an email confirmation of the move-up will be sent. For the Friday and Saturday trials: MOVE-UPS close 30 minutes after the end of the trial on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 respectively and must be submitted at the trial. Vendors Vendor space is sold out. No additional vendor space is available. Trial Information The site will be open at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8. Trial hours are 6:30 am until 30 minutes after the completion of judging. Ring size: 90 x 110. The Event Center is air-conditioned with indoor restrooms. Please bring crates and water for your dogs and clean up supplies. Limited crating space is available near the agility ring. Protective mats must be under all crates. Please conserve space by double-stacking crates where practical. The Agility Event Committee reserves the right to condense crating space. Food service is available at the trial site. Only small coolers for treats are allowed; no other outside food is permitted. Electronic timing will be used at these trials. Notice to Exhibitors The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. The American Miniature Schnauzer Club, Inc. may cancel this event in extreme weather conditions. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualifi ed, excused, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. Entry fees will not be refunded if the trial cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, fi re, an act of God, public emergency, an act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Since bitches in season are not allowed to compete in AKC Obedience/Rally/Agility Trials, entry fees less $5 per class/run entered will be refunded by the club. The Trial Secretary must receive written notifi cation of such a claim for refund by letter or email before the trial commences. Written verification from a veterinarian and a copy of the final Trial Confirmation is required and must be RECEIVED no later than 48 hours after end of the trial. Refunds for changes in entries made before closing will be subject to a $5.00 processing fee. All refunds will be mailed after the specialty. No refunds will be given for entries withdrawn after closing in the event a dog and/or handler are injured or absent. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. All dogs must be on leash or crated at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. The judge need not wait for any dog holding up a class. The American Miniature Schnauzer Club, Inc. has no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or steward for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought to the ring when required. Entries must be made on Offi cial AKC entry forms or copies and must include the signed Agreement and Rules. Junior Handlers must enter their JH# and complete back of form. Include only AKC titles on entries. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, regardless of whoever may have made such errors. No entry will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Errors in entries made by the exhibitor cannot be corrected after the closing date. No refunds for duplicate entries. Dogs under 4 months of age are not permitted on the show grounds of AKC Agility Trials. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites and any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. There is a $25 returned check fee. No refunds will be issued for overpayment of less than $10. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefi t of refund if the Event Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement. The American Miniature Schnauzer Club, Inc., its Boards and Members, and Nestlé Purina Farms and its employees will not be liable for any loss or injury which may be sustained through disappearance, loss, theft, communicable disease, parasites, injury and/or death of dogs entered in this event. Purina Event Center is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. All buildings are NON-SMOKING. Smoking is permitted outside in designated areas. No spectators or dogs are allowed on the second floor of the Purina Event Center. No fi rearms are allowed on Purina property.

Ribbons and Awards Ribbons/Rosettes Ribbons will be awarded to First Place through Fourth Place in each jump height in each class. Qualifying rosettes will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. Dogs must qualify to receive placement ribbons. 1st place... Blue 2nd place...red 3rd place...yellow 4th place... White Qualifying... Green New MACH title...rosette and bar New PACH title...rosette and bar Awards 1st place... Metal ID Tag 2nd place... Paper Notepad 3rd place... Paper Notepad 4th place... Paper Notepad High in Trial (Miniature Schnauzer)...Folding Chair Preferred High in Trial (Miniature Schnauzer)...Folding Chair High in Trial (Miniature Schnauzer) will be awarded each day to the Miniature Schnauzer from the Regular Master Standard and JWW classes with qualifying scores in both classes. If there is more than one dog that meets this, the award will go to the dog with the highest combined seconds under Standard Course Time (SCT). If there is more than one dog with the highest combined seconds under SCT, the award will go to the dog with the fastest time in Regular Master Standard. Preferred High in Trial (Miniature Standard) - same as above except substitute Preferred for Regular. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show none will be mailed.
