Everyone please bring a dish to pas. If you have a dish that needs to be refrigerated or just somewhere to put it, it can be dropped off in the kitchen at the fairgrounds. SHOW RULES Entries 1. Entries must be received or post marked no later than October 12 th. Early entries appreciated. 2. Entry Fee s for each Bird or Animal: Youth-$2.00 and Open-$2.50. Entry fee must accompany entry. Make checks payable to: WIS. BIRD & GAME BREEDER S ASS N INC. Please include WPTR or NPIP Health Pullorum/Typhoid free certificate with your entry. Birds will not be allowed in the building without WPTR or NPIP HEALTH PULLORUM/TYPHOID CERTIFICATES and will not be able to be blood tested on the show grounds. ALL OUT OF STATE EXHIBITORS must have Veterinarian Health Certification Papers at the show to exhibit birds, rabbits, or cavies. 3. Competition is open to everyone with no requirements for membership in the club. 5. No trios or displays will be accepted, single entries only. 6. No express or air shipments will be accepted for this show. 7. All Domestic Poultry and Waterfowl should be banded.. 8. Entries should be made by Division, Class, Breed & Variety, and Age & Sex Persons 18 or younger may Exhibit in youth & open show, but not with the same Bird or Animal. Persons over the age of 18 can only exhibit in the open show. 9. Please make certain that your entry is legible and weather entries are male or female, young or old. 10. Wisc. Bird and Game Breeder s Assoc, or it s officials will not be held responsible for the loss, sickness or injury of any bird on the show grounds. Nor will we be helo responsible for caring for any birds left behind.
Awards 11. All entries will be judged with awards given through the 3 rd place. 12. Awards will be given for the following. In Open and in Youth. Blue Red White Ribbons for the First three places in each class. *Need to bring coop tags to show Secretary. Rosettes for Champion and Reserve Champions in all divisions. Trophies for over all Champion and Reserve Champion in both. Open and Youth Wild and Domestic Classes. Any Questions call Dan Nollenberg 715-281-5322. All Classes and awards are subject to change due to the amount of entries. 13. In the event of no competition in a particular class or division, the judges will be instructed not to award a first place to a specimen that is not worthy of it. 14. Any person s who would like to donate trophies or ribbons for a specific breed or class are welcome to. Bring them to the show secretary the day of the show. It will be greatly appreciated. 15. Awards may be picked up from the Show Secretary around the end of the show Regulations 16. All birds and animals must be cooped and ready to be judged by 8:00 am on Saturday. Workers helping to set up on Friday may put birds in at that time. All others will coop birds Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. or on Saturday from 6:30 to 9:00 am. 17. Bring your own feed, feed cups and water cups for cages. 18.The largest cages we provide are 2ft. X 2ft X 2ft. Larger birds such as long-tailed birds, swans, geese, etc. should be shown in owner s cages. These should allow good visibility for judging and must not exceed 4ft X 4 ft. Birds in larger cages may not be allowed.
19. Cage birds and Doves must be shown in owner s cages. This refers to budgies, canaries, finches, love birds, parrots, etc. Mammals must be shown in owner s cages. This is for their safety as well as that of the birds. We suggest the following mammal cages: Large enough to allow for some movement, water containers fairly small and secured, (This is to keep the animal fairly dry so it won t be penalized during judging) No attached houses, since many times animals refuse to come out for judging. Send cage dimensions with entry to aid in setting up. All coops containing WDNR regulated birds or mammals must have a game license sticker on it. Please bring some along with you. If you have no stickers, they can be purchased through the DNR. If stickers are not available, you may bring a copy of your license. This is at the request of the WDNR. WPTR or NPIP health regulations enforced for domestic poultry, game birds and waterfowl. Please include the WPTR and NPIP Health Pullorum/ Typhoid free certificate with entry. Due to the new Blood testing regulation, there will be NO blood testing done on the Show Grounds. All Blood testing must be done prior to the show. NOTE: No turkeys will be allowed to exhibited due to Health Regulations requiring Turkeys to be in a separate facility at least 25 ft away from any other facility housing any other birds. All birds must be banded for exhibitor s protection During judging only show personnel are allowed in the show aisles. After judging is completed, judges will remain one hour and exhibitors are encouraged to converse with the judges. No person will be permitted to handle any bird or mammal without the owner s consent Exhibitors may place For Sale signs on coops after judging has been completed. Show stock may be released after the awards are given out on Saturday. No alcoholic beverages of any kind allowed in the building. Smoking is not allowed inside the building. (These are fairground regulations.) The show officials will make the final decision on any and all questions or problems not specifically covered. Rabbit and Cavy Exhibitor s need to bring their own animals to the judging table or make arrangements for someone else to bring their animal to the judging table for them.
