ATTENTION EXHIBITORS A Recording Fee and Event Fee will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or member club show. These fees are to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Fees are to be collected on the first entry. Telegraph, Telephone, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official AKC Entry Forms, and photocopies of Entry Forms without agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC Entry Forms are not acceptable. Incomplete or illegible entry forms are not acceptable. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the show secretary are responsible or obligated to furnish any services for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. No entry fees will be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after entries close nor in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or a judge or barred from competition by action of the show committee. NO REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. No entry fee will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fires, an act of God, public emergency, Act of Public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the show secretary. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies a condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without all information an entry filled out, fees and signatures. There will be a $25.00 Fee for all returned checks. Management is not responsible for the loss of, damage to, or death of any dog exhibited or not exhibited, or for possessions of any participant, whether the result of accident or any other cause. It is expressly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. Exhibitors please note: Effective for all shows held on or after July 1, 1980, dogs which according to their owner s records, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed competition, provided this transfer is made by the superintendent or show secretary prior to the start of judging at the show. The Show Committees reserve the right to limit the number of grooming tables because of space limitations. Grooming space WILL NOT be saved; it will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Grooming area will be monitored by the grounds committee. Any excessive use of space will be corrected by the Show Committee. Grooming space is a privilege that can be withdrawn from those who do not follow the rules, regulations and instructions of the German Shepherd Dog Club of St. Louis and Purina Farms. AGREEMENT I (we) acknowledge that the Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows and, if this entry is for an Obedience Trial, the Obedience Regulations, have been made available to me (us), and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we) agree that the club holding this show or obedience trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further to agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death, damage, or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this show or obedience trial, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (sold color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 10. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. the showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 11. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the premium list. If the dog class in which your are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which your entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 12. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at he time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner if any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
