DOG SHOW CLASS INFORMATION JUNIOR PUPPY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog 6 months of age and under 9 months of age on the day of this Specialty SENIOR PUPPY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of this Specialty 12 to 15 Months Class This class shall be for dogs at least 12 mos. of age on the day of this Specialty and under 15 mos. on the day of this Specialty 15 to 18 Months Class This class shall be for dogs at least 12 mons of age on the day of the Specialty and under 18 mos. on the day of this Specialty CANADIAN BRED CLASS - This class shall be for any dog born in Canada. (Champions of any country excluded) BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS - This class shall be for any dog owned and handled in the ring owner/breeder. The handler MUST be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog at the class level, but need not handle the dog for further awards OPEN CLASS - This class shall be for all dogs VETERANS CLASS This class shall be for dogs 7 years of age and over on the day of this Specialty SPECIALS ONLY CLASS - This class shall be for Champions of record at the time of closing of entries for this Specialty. Note: A Listed dog MAY be moved to the Specials Only Class after the closing of entries, provided the CKC Individual or Event Registration Number was received prior to the Specials Only Class MUST be received by the Show Secretary ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE FIRST SHOW. Hotel/Motel The following motels may accept exhibitors and their dogs. However you will be held responsible for any and all damage. Please clean up after your dogs in all places. Be sure to mention you are with the dog show. SWEEPSTAKES Dogs entered in sweeps must be entered in the specialty or exhibition only. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES The following classes, divided by sex, are offered: 7-9 years, 9-11 years, 11 years and over Dogs and Bitches entered in Veteran Sweepstakes must be entered in a Regular Class, Specials Only or Exhibition only at the specialty. Spayed and neutered dogs may be entered in Veteran Sweeps, provided they are entered in the specialty or exhibition. Rosettes and suitable prizes will be offered for, Best Veteran In Sweepstakes, & Best Opposite Veteran In Sweepstakes Prize Money for both Sweepstakes & Veteran Sweepstakes will be awarded for each age class as follows; Best in Sweepstakes - 50%, & Best of Opposite in Sweeps - 25% - 25% will be retained by the club for administration CATALOGUE ADVERTISING: Grounds and Facilities PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES The site includes a small general store, a mini golf course, Laundromat and bathrooms. There is a charge for the golf. There are many people who live here full time so be aware that children and pets will be roaming in the areas near the store and other facilities. Dogs are NOT allowed past the store. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the show and refusal of entries in the future. The owners of the site appreciate your co-operation. Hazelmere RV Park & Campground is an Outdoor Only facility with limited shade. Parking areas are grassed. Please ensure that you have adequate shade for your Dogs. Vehicle Day Parking There will be a fee of $3.00 per day No Dog shall be left in vehicles for any reason or length of time.! There will be space in our show catalogue for your advertisement. Ads will be $20 for a half page, 7.5 inches wide x 4.75 inches deep $35 for a full page, 7.5 inches wide x 9.5 inches deep $50 for a 2 page ad. All ads must be camera ready 300 dpi Jpeg format and only in B & W. Please send in digital format to Paul Mahil. Remember all proceeds from ads go directly to the club so please show your support and advertise! For more information on catalogue advertising or the National Specialty Show please contact the show chair Paul Mahil at dexterbigs@shaw.ca Dogs left in Vehicles in the parking lot could result in expulsion from the show. Junior Handling Saturday July 25, 2015 TIME: after BISS judging is completed To be announced Junior Handling Judge KEN ALLEN (All Classes for Junior Handling) Entries will be accepted at the Show Secretary s Desk up to 12:00 am on Saturday. The following classes will be provided: PEE WEE (non competitive) 4 TO 6. JUNIOR NOVICE - 7 to 10 yrs. SENIOR NOVICE - 15 to 18 yrs. JUNIOR OPEN - 7 to 10 yrs. SENIOR OPEN - 15 to 18 yrs. INTERMEDIATE NOVICE 11 to 14 yrs. INTERMEDIATE OPEN 11 to 14 yrs. NOTE: PEE WEES do not compete for Best Overall. Competition is open to all Juniors between the age of 4 up to 18 years of age (of the competition year). DOGS HANDLED BY THE JUNIORS MUST BE ENTERED IN A REGULAR CLASS AT THE Specialty on Saturday July 28, 2012. DOGS NEED NOT BE OWNED BY THE JUNIOR. A rosette will be offered for FIRST IN EACH CLASS (except Pee Wee class entrants, who will receive a Participant flat ribbon). A rosette and trophy will be awarded for BEST OVERALL HANDLER. Ribbons will be awarded to second through fourth in each class., A Prize will be offered for Best Junior Handler. - the use of bitches in season in any Junior competition will not be permitted; Eligibility of Dog (sec. 3.5) has had additions - "Every dog entered in the regular shows or trials, or for Exhibition Only, is eligible for entry into Junior Handling Conformation or Junior Handling Obedience provided it meets one of the following: (a) Conformation (i) Registered with the CKC, (ii) Have an Event Registration Number (ERN), (iii) Eligible for registration with the CKC; or (iv) If it belongs to a listed breed, it must have a Miscellaneous Certification Number (MCN) Go Green please dispose of Poop and garbage in the appropriate Bins available on site.

ADDITIONAL RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS 1. The Club reserves the right to remove any person from these shows, which will be held strictly under Canadian Kennel Club Rules. 2. The Club reserves the right to decline to accept entries for just cause, in which case the fee will be refunded with the reason for non-acceptance. No one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club holding the show or any official connected therewith for refusal of an entry. 3. The Show-giving Club will exercise due care and diligence for the welfare of the dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 4. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct of their animals while they are on the Show Grounds. Exhibitors are responsible for their equipment and possessions. 5. Dogs must be ready for judging. The club will not be responsible for and not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agent of breed or class judging. NO RING WILL BE HELD UP WAITING FOR EXHIBITORS OR HAN- DLERS. 6. For the benefit of the health of animals, the pleasure of exhibitors and spectators we insist upon keeping the show grounds as clean as possible. EXHIBI- TORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THEIR DOGS. Dogs are to be exercised in DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. Failure to comply may result in future entries being refused. 7. All trailers, motor homes, campers and recreational units will have buckets underneath their sink drains. Anyone found discharging gray or black water from their unit will immediately be removed from the grounds. 8. There will be no other facilities in case of inclement weather. 9. If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the Club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 10. Entries will be acknowledged (with a judging schedule) as soon as possible after the closing date by email only. If it is not received within a reasonable time please contact the Show Secretary. 11. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs, regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. Any exhibitor wishing to substitute or cancel an entry must do so in writing before the hour of closing. Substitutions or cancellations of entries after the closing time are prohibited. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND FOR OVERPAYMENT OR DUPLICATE ENTRIES.. 12. Instructions to exhibitors to review Section 6.3 - Judges - General, subsections 6.3.3, 6.3.4 and 6.3.5 of the Conformation Rules and Regulations. 13.Dogs must be kept ON LEAD in all Public Areas. 14.The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show which will be governed by CKC Rules. Time TBA. NEW RE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO THE US On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the Department of Homeland Security. BORDER CROSSING: A Rabies Certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada. Government regulations require this certificate MUST be dated at least 30 days prior to re-entry into the U.S. Attention US Visitors If not entering on line please purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in CANADIAN FUNDS for the full amount. CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION #1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5), and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION #2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated a dog. U.S. EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) the number of championship points shall be as follows: Dogs competing* 1 2 3-5 6-9 10-12 13 or more Points allocated 0 1 2 3 4 5 *Includes the dog awarded Winners. In addition to championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded WINNERS which also places in the regular Group competition shall be credited with the following additional points provided that a dog was defeated at the group level. A Dog may not be credited with more than 5 points in a single show. Non Member Participation Fee An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. The fee will match the ERN fee In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non -member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. These fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by non-ckc members and are not applicable to CKC members. For the sole purpose of entering CKC events to acquire CKC degrees and titles, foreign born, foreign owned dogs may apply for an EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER. This number must be obtained within 30 days after receiving points to avoid cancellation of wins, and can be obtained by submitting a copy of your foreign Certificate of Registration and a fee of $57.60 with a letter of request to the CKC. (This ERN replaces a CKC Individual Registration Number for entering events only. The Individual Registration must still be obtained for breeding purposes. ENTRY INFORMATION 1. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are completed in full. Handlers or agents please note the full name and address of all owners must be filled in. 2. Incomplete entries will be returned. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by entry fees. Telephone and telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. 3. There is no refund for duplicate cheques. Every effort will be made to find all duplicate entries, however if the entry has been processed and appears in the official catalogue, no refund will be made. 4. Substitutions or cancellations of any entry after the closing date is prohibited. Moving Class Dogs to Specials is permitted up to one hour before the start of the show. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for such registration can be entered. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC Rules. 5. Entries positively close 12:00 noon (PST) Thursday July 2, 2015, and must be in the hands of the Show Secretary by that date. 6. Identification cards and judging schedules will be emailed as soon as possible after the entries close. Identification cards must be presented upon arrival at the show. 7. Tendering of NSF cheques in payment of fees shall be considered non-payment of fees and is punishable by disciplinary action. Any N.S.F. or returned item will be subject to a minimum $50.00 service charge. $50.00 will be charged on all returned items NSF cheques..
