AN INTRODUCTION TO KOKO FITCLUB FRANCHISING GET TO KNOW THE KOKO FITCLUB FRANCHISING FAMILY

TABLE OF CONTENTS 3 What Is Koko FitClub? 6 Who Does Koko Serve? 9 Who Makes A Great Koko Owner? 12 The Business of Koko 19 Koko Franchising Q&A

CHAPTER ONE WHAT IS KOKO FITCLUB?

WHAT IS KOKO FITCLUB? THE ALTERNATIVE TO THE TRADITIONAL GYM Koko is the alternative to the mainstream gym. While traditional gyms offer a one-size-fits-all approach to fitness, at Koko FitClub, our focus is individualized fitness and coaching. Koko is the first and only gym in the world to combine individualized coaching with patented technology to create a proven training system that delivers coaching to every client, every time they workout. CONCEPT At Koko FitClub, we have developed a proven training methodology that uses the latest in exercise science and fitness technology to tailor workouts to the individual. This patented training system offers each client an individualized coaching experience during every strength, cardio or functional training workout. We call it Koko Smartraining. Whether clients choose to work out independently with the guidance of our digital coaching technology, or 1:1 with a caring, highly certified Master FitCoach, our clients receive coaching every single time they visit the club, for better results from the time they spend in the gym. CLUB EXPERIENCE Koko FitClubs are modern, sophisticated, upscale and intimate training studios designed to keep our clients focused on achieving their goals in a positive space. Our culture is a friendly, supportive community of likeminded people who want to enjoy the fitness lifestyle with a better solution to their individual fitness goals and needs. 4

My biggest reason for quitting every gym or 3itness choice I have ever signed up for is addressed in the Koko model. I am not a P90X kind of girl, so Orange Theory was not for me. I get lost and am aimless in big box gyms. Kickboxing and Title Boxing classes were too hardcore and I was yelled at too much for my liking. There are so many people just like me! They want direction, support, questions answered, measurable progress, growth, recognition, fun, and community. Every 3itness facility has its culture. The Koko culture is a magnet for people mixers, rewards, outings, incentives. I truly don t see this in other exercise choices. -- Karen Lossing, Koko FitClub Franchisee, California franchising.kokofitclub.com 5

CHAPTER TWO WHO DOES KOKO SERVE?

THE KOKO CLIENT KOKO: DEDICATED TO CHANGING LIVES SINCE 2008 Koko FitClub is for those who have been disappointed by mainstream fitness and seek an alternative to the traditional big box gym. At traditional gyms, 94% of people never receive any guidance or help with their workouts. That s millions of people paying for memberships who must figure out what to do on their own. No wonder more than 80% of people who join a gym either quit or fail. Our clients are tired of being ignored at traditional gyms. They don t want to be part of a herd. They have outgrown the gym scene and reject the one-size-fits-all approach the mainstream gym provides. Our client finds group training and classes too impersonal. They want an experience tailored to their needs, with coaching and support on their terms. And there are a LOT of them! At Koko FitClub, we believe that real results in fitness takes coaching, care motivation and guidance. We believe in relationships and results. We believe that that our clients deserve an individualized approach to fitness. franchising.kokofitclub.com 7

Koko is transforming my life. I was of3icially overweight, 39 and at my wits end. I tried Koko, and was sold. The coaches are so friendly and non-judgmental. I never liked gyms, but THIS is the place for me. I m addicted. Koko has literally saved my life -- Hether Flanigan, Koko FitClub Client franchising.kokofitclub.com 8

CHAPTER THREE WHO MAKES A GREAT KOKO OWNER?

KOKO FITCLUB OWNERS LIFE-CHANGERS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE Our owners come from all walks of life -- from sports and recreation or fitness backgrounds, to people from the world of finance, marketing, and sales to teachers, physicians, first time business owners, office workers, and everything in between. What they share is a passion for fitness and a strong desire to help people improve their lives. YOU DON T NEED TO BE A FITNESS PRO WE LL MAKE YOU ONE. You don t have to be a personal trainer or a bodybuilder to own a successful Koko FitClub. We train our owners on everything they need to know. However, it IS important that you enjoy fitness and the fitness lifestyle. Business ownership is immersive; you want to be sure you are in an industry that you truly enjoy. Because of our patented training methodology and our robust owner training and on-the-job education and certification programs, owners do not need to be fitness professionals to run a successful Koko FitClub. We do recommend that a member of your team have a fitness background, but it s not required for ownership. franchising.kokofitclub.com 10

As a Koko franchisee, I have found our franchisor to be extremely helpful and supportive. Help truly is just a click or phone call away! It is so refreshing to have warm relationships with the top level management staff that invite communication from franchisees. The management team is never too busy to respond to questions or concerns. They truly have created an environment that feels comfortable, inviting, and like family. -- Jennifer Willard, Franchisee, Texas We have had great support from Koko HQ. Whenever we have questions, they are there to answer. When I 3irst visited Koko HQ, I couldn t believe how down to earth and personal everyone was. Koko truly feels like family. -- Amber Bartmann, Franchisee South Dakota I love the people at Corporate. It is an amazing organization staffed by great, nice, smart people who all want to help everyone succeed. Tens of thousands of times a day, members around the country plug in their Koko Keys and do their workouts. In the four years I have been in the business, there have been about 60 minutes where the system wasn t working. We all take that for granted but when you think about what is behind every workout, it is truly incredible. -- Steve Powell, Franchisee Connecticut franchising.kokofitclub.com 11

CHAPTER FOUR THE BUSINESS OF KOKO

THE BUSINESS OF KOKO DIFFERENT. MEANINGFUL. SIMPLE. What makes Koko such an exciting business to own is that we offer something no other gym on the planet does, or can do: individualized coaching every single time a client comes in, no matter what they do or when they want to do it. Koko makes it possible for owners to deliver a repeatable individualized fitness experience for every client, without the cost or variability of excess staffing. The result is a more engaged client base, stronger retention and higher value client relationships. From a business standpoint, Koko appeals to people who are looking for: 1. Different. Unique. Our franchisees want to do something special. They shy away from things that are run-of-the-mill. They also want the business benefit of serving a large market in a very unique way so they have the competitive advantage of differentiation. 2. Something meaningful. They want to enjoy owning a business that enables them to help others and make money doing it. There are lots of businesses you can get into, but the people that Koko tends to attract are those that are seeking a great business that does great things. 3. Simplicity. They don t want to manage inventory, ordering, large staffing models or cash. They want a business that enables them to focus on their team and clients. franchising.kokofitclub.com 13

The most exciting thing about the business model is how simple it is to succeed and grow the business. The other exciting part about the business model is how large of a demographic we have, allowing for rapid growth and high retention of our memberships. By following the model laid out by corporate, it is extremely simple to create a successful business. - Stefani Hartline Golf Pro and Koko FitClub Franchisee, Utah franchising.kokofitclub.com 14

THE NITTY GRITTY HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO OPEN? The timeframe to open a new Koko FitClub can range depending upon real estate availability, but the average time is approximately 8 months: 4 months to identify a site and get under lease, plus 4 months to convert that space to an open Koko FitClub. INTIMATE STUDIO-SIZED SPACE Koko FitClubs are small, intimate studios that requires approximately 2700 square feet of space. OPEN ACROSS THE U.S. & CANADA Over a hundred clubs are currently open in nearly 30 states through the country, with new areas now available for development. And, in 2016, we are expanding into Canada! franchising.kokofitclub.com 15

THE NITTY GRITTY LOW START-UP INVESTMENT The estimated initial investment is between $203,421 - $396,337, the lesser amount if you finance or lease certain equipment and furnishings. LENDING & FINANCING We work with a third party company that provides lending and financing options, which many owners have found incredibly helpful. To learn more, click here and you can see how fundable you are. FINANCIAL QUALIFICATIONS Here are the financial qualifications to be a franchisee: A credit score of 700 or higher (or a partner who does). Investable capital of $200,000 or more (which can come from family/ friends, investors) franchising.kokofitclub.com 16

The collective passion for achieving change in the lives of every client is evident at every level of the organization. The entire franchisor team from Marketing, Operations, Finance, Retail and IT has been exceptional at every aspect. If you are considering franchising as an avenue for developing a business, particularly in a 3ield like health and 3itness, I highly recommend exploring ownership of a Koko FitClub franchise. -- Mark McMahon Koko FitClub Franchisee, South Carolina franchising.kokofitclub.com 17

TRAINING & SUPPORT Our DNA is creating tools and systems to coach people to reach their goals. That s as true for our Clubs clients as it is for our Owners. Our training starts at the very beginning during our Owner selection process even before they become owners. Once onboard, all Koko owners attend a 3-day Owner Training Camp at HQ. Just prior to their club s opening, they also attend an additional 3-day FitCoach Academy for operations training at Koko HQ. Combined with our comprehensive online education center of Koko-developed online tools, forums, and training videos covering all areas of Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Fitness, new Koko owners have everything they need to become successful owners. Owners do not need to be fitness or technology professionals to build a successful Koko business, but they do need to have a passion for the business of helping people in their community get healthy. YOUR ABILITY TO GET TO PROFITABILITY Every business s ultimate success is the result of each individual owner s performance. As a franchisor, we are restricted from telling you how quickly you ll be profitable. However, what we CAN do is provide a financial pro-forma, a tool that can help you figure that out. Talk to a franchisee. Additionally, we encourage you to participate in a call with a current Koko franchisee so they can share their personal experience. As independent owners, franchisees are not restricted from answering any of your questions. franchising.kokofitclub.com 18

I needed to lose weight and look amazing for my wedding day. I trained at several other gyms and had no success. In fact, I gained over 20lbs! After 2 months with Koko I lost 15lbs and am so much stronger and healthier. I could never have done it without this wonderful life changing club.
