Dogs with corresponding titles in Open or Utility are permitted to enter the A classes until the ASCA title is earned. No bitches in season are permitted to compete. Rally Entry Info: Any dog that has previously earned any Obedience and/or Rally title in any organization, must be entered in the corresponding B (or C if title earned at that level in ASCA) class, regardless of grace periods in effect elsewhere. No bitches in season are permitted to compete. Entries for the next level class are not permitted until the Obedience or Rally title has been earned. Move ups (and overs) are permitted before the close of each trial. Please contact the Show Chair for any clarifications! This show will Open for Pre-Entries on May 21, 2018. Pre-entries must be postmarked by June 25, 2018, which is when Pre Entries will close! ASCA QTracking Number applications can be downloaded from www.asca.org It is possible to apply for a Tracking Number the day of the show, but it helps make check-in smoother to have that form filled out in advance. Handler is responsible for his dog and must keep the dog under his control at all times. Dogs must be on leash when not in the ring. Handler will be responsible for any injury caused by their actions or that of their dog. No bitches in season permitted in the building (even in pants).
POSTED OBEDIENCE & RALLY SCHEDULE: We are encouraging pre-entry so that we can post approximate schedules for Obedience and Rally Classes. We will post the entry counts and tentative schedule on the club's Greater Atlanta ASC Facebook Page shortly after the close of Pre- Entries, We will accept Day Of Show entries, but keep in mind, the limit of runs will be adhered to for these trials and we anticipate filling the trials very quickly! Once a trial is full, we will start a Waiting List. Alternates will be notified in advance, as soon as runs become available. We will NOT be emailing each person individually with the run schedules or changes unless you are on a waiting list, and a run becomes available for you. There will NOT be a separate Big Kahuna Facebook page for this event. OBEDIENCE AWARDS Ribbons awarded for 1st through 4th place in Regular classes. Green Qualifying ribbons will be awarded for qualifying scores. Rosettes each day for HIT, HIT Aussie, HIT Other Breed, High Combined, and High Scoring Junior Handler. Dog and handler teams with the highest combined scores at each level will be crowned the Big Kahuna Novice, Open, and Utility CHAMPIONs after Sunday s trial with very tropical colored rosettes! Big Kahuna Rescue Champion Any rescue dog purebred or mixed breed is eligible! This is earned by having the highest cumulative score at any single level of Obedience (Utility, Open ODX and CDX, Novice, Beginner Novice, Graduate Novice, or Versatility. This year s Rescue Champion wins a whopper red, white, and blue rosette. If there are dogs tied for any award, the winner will be determined by class placements in the trials; if a tie still exists, a tie breaking runoff will occur. Dogs MUST be present at the end of the last trial for any necessary runoffs, after the conclusion of Sunday's final trial. RALLY AWARDS Ribbons awarded for 1 st through 4 th place in classes. Green Qualifying ribbons will be awarded for Qualifying scores, and special X Qualifying ribbons for those earning scores of 195 and above. Rosettes awarded for HIT, HIT Aussie, HIT Other Breed, High Combined in Excellent/Masters, and High Scoring Junior Handler. The dog and handler team that amasses the largest cumulative total of qualifying points from ALL the Obedience and Rally Trials will be named PELE'S CHAMPION, in honor of Hawaii's Hottest Goddess Pele, the Goddess of Fire. This Show is Casual Attire! Our judges are being encouraged to dress casual. Big Kahuna will put his mojo on you for wearing any of the following: pantyhose, jacket, tie, and uncomfortable shoes. Dust off those Hawaiian shirts for the weekend, and think tropical! Questions/Conflicts: Should be immediately brought to the attention of the Chair and/or Assistant(s).
Dog Owner s Responsibility: Each owner/handler is responsible for their dog(s). Dogs must be crated or on lead at all times, except when competing. DOGS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN LOOSE ON THE GROUNDS THIS INCLUDES POTTY BREAKS!! PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS. Please be courteous at the hotels and pick up after your dogs. NO DOG WASHING in the hotels. Facility ADOG Training Facility is a 5,800 square foot fully matted and gated, air conditioned, handicap accessible, indoor facility for you and your dog's safety. Ample crating space is available (please put pads/towels under crates to prevent damage to matting.) NO EXERCISE PENS PERMITTED INDOORS. ABSOLUTELY NO GROOMING OR CHALK IS PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING!!. There is a large parking area with plenty of room for RV parking overnight, but there are no hook-ups. Please pick up after your dog in all areas. Dogs must be on leash at all times, including potty breaks and exercise. All children on site must be carefully supervised at all times, for their safety. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS These shows will be judged and run by the Show Rules of the Australian Shepherd Club of America. All dogs, six months and older, must have an ASCA Registration Number or ASCA Tracking Number (for Obedience and Rally) in order to compete in ANY venue (please have a copy of this number available at the show). Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the chairman will be responsible or obligated to furnish any services for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the show committee. Entry fees will only be refunded if the refund request is received before the pre-entry closing date, no entry fee will be refunded if the show cannot be opened or completed by reasons of riots, civil disturbances, fire, Acts of God, or public emergency. The show-giving club, the Show Chairmen, their agents, officers, and/or committee shall assume no responsibility for injury to children. Judges may be substituted. All dogs must be leashed or crated at all times, except when competing. No electrical and/or mechanical training devices will be permitted on the show grounds. Please clean up after your dogs.
