NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $25.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. There is no refund for bitches in season in Obedience. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. BaRay Events will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline 877-252-3229. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another. provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A dog who has earned a title after entries have closed may be moved up to the next class, provided the transfer request is presented to the Superintendent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. NATIONAL SPECIALTY SHOW HOTEL RULES The following rules have been established for the good of all exhibitors concerned. 1. Plastic sheeting to be placed under every crate in your hotel rooms. This will keep carpets clean and dry. Plastic sheeting for each crate will be made available upon check in. 2. DOGS MUST BE CRATED WHEN THE OWNER/HANDLER IS OUT OF THE ROOM!! NO EXCEPTIONS. 3. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while in the hotel or on the hotel grounds. Rooms must be kept clean of dog debris. NO DOGS ALLOWED IN LOBBY AREA. 4. Dogs should be exercised in designated areas on the hotel premises. EVERY DOG OWNER is expected to pick up after his/her own dog(s) and dispose of the waste in nearby trashcans. 5. NO DOG MAY BE BATHED IN THE HOTEL. 6. Rooms will be inspected daily by members of the hotel staff and observed violations or damages will be reported to the hotel management and/or the Investigating Committee. Do not Disturb signs will not be honored for the entire day by the hotel staff. 7. The Investigating Committee, working with a fair and equitable system, is in charge of investigating complaints. 8. Each dog owner/registrant is expected to cooperate with the Investigating Committee, hopefully settling damage claims on the spot, or must be willing to furnish information such as insurance policy numbers and other pertinent information required. 9. Should the hotel, for cause, deem it necessary to cancel room privileges, the registrant agrees to forego legal action against the AWC and it s committees, the host club, and or the hotel. This is a condition of entry to the National Specialty. 10. As an exhibitor, be aware that violations may also be referred to the Bench Show Committee if written charges are preferred. If the Bench Show Committee upholds such charges, it may lead to suspension from future show privileges. Charges may also be filed with the AWC, which may lead to expulsion from the Club unless fair and equitable claims are satisfied. 11. Exercise pens will be allowed only in designated areas. 12. If you are leaving the hotel property and are leaving dogs crated in your room, please arrange with another exhibitor who is remaining at the show site to be responsible for your dogs during your absence in case of a problem or emergency. When leaving, provide the front desk with the name and room number (or which RV) where the person who is responsible for your dogs during your absence can be contacted. (Leaving your cell phone number is advisable) When moving into your hotel room, check it carefully. If you find that there are problems or damage from a prior guest, call the front desk. This could save you any problems should this damage have gone undetected before you check in. Important Reminders: It is very important that we all do our best to maintain cleanliness with our dogs at our hotel. There will be designated areas for exercising your dog(s). Don t wait too long to get them out. Go to the shortest route; take baggies with you in case of an accident. Do not walk away from your dog s mess. Demand others to clean up after their dogs. Please report someone who is not observing the rules. You may help us in the future to get another hotel! Bench Show Committee Meeting and Hearing will be called on anyone who abuses our hotel. The AKC will back us if we have a problem. Inform any of the following people: Cindy Scott, Jan Swayze-Curry or Rhonda Gifford if you notice a problem. Please remember to use the plastic sheeting under your crates. Bedspreads will be removed from rooms where dogs are to be kept.
