Judging 10.00am prompt. Lifting by 3.00pm Refreshments will be available throughout the day. SHOW RULES All birds must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor Sales class birds will be sold at the price on the entry, 10% of monies will be retained by the Society. No birds entered in the sales class to be sold until 1.30pm. All birds, including birds in the sales must be in suitable cages (i.e. no cardboard boxes). Birds to be lifted at 3.00pm, no early lifting will be entertained. No local members to liftbirdsuntilalldistanceexhibitorshavelifted. Whilst every precaution will be taken to secure the welfare of the exhibits, the entire risk and responsibility must be borne by the exhibitor. The organisers will not be responsible for any loss or damage. This also applies to any accident which may happen to anyone during the show. No dogs will be allowed in the show hall. Any exhibitor who wishes to lodge a protest must do so in writing to the secretary before the close of the show, with a deposit of the 2 that will be forfeitedshouldtheprotestfail. All current year bred birds must have been bred by the exhibitor in 2016. Mark O.B. for all birds over 12 months old which have been bred by the exhibitor. All foreignbirdsin wrong classes will be re-classed. For any exhibit needing special food, including sales birds, the food should be with the bird in a suitable container marked with the class and cage number. Exhibitors wishing to feed their own birds should request permission from the Show Manager. Only stewards and officials will be allowed in the show hall whilst judging is in progress. BIO SECURITY To comply with the terms of the General Licence that this exhibition is held. The following conditions must be complied with:- All exhibition bird sales / exchanges must be recorded, this must include the name and address and phone number of both the seller and the buyer, also any identifying features or individual identification (rings) of the purchased birds(s). All exhibitors / entrants must disinfect the show cages, crates or box before the event and be advised that they should be cleansed and disinfected on return to the home premises and before they are used to hold any other bird. Buyers must isolate the purchased bird(s) from all other birds (except those purchased at the same event) for at least one week. Any signs of ill health observed in the purchased bird(s) during this period of isolation must be reported to a Veterinary surgeon and such birds must not be mixed with any other birds until the presence of an avian notifiable disease has been ruled out. All litter and manure within the cages, crates or boxes must be contained until disposal. Any spillages out side the cages to be cleansed and disinfected immediately. All litter and manure must be disposed of in a manner, which does not present a risk of spread of the disease, e.g. in sealed bags for normal refuse collection in such a manner that other birds do not have direct access to it. 6 www.yfbs.org.uk
