They growl at each other, show their teeth and sometimes snap at each other: Your child leans in to kiss your new dog, while your new dog is chewing on a bone or sleeping and the dog snaps at your child: Your new dog is lifting leaving his/her scent (marking) all over the house: Your new dog is using the living room carpet as his/her new toilet. You come home to a destroyed house (for example, furniture gutted and torn, blinds torn down/ chewed on, wall/door damaged, etc.). How would you go about teaching your dog what the word NO means? (for example, would you smack the dog on the nose or butt, grab the collar, give a leash correction, talk in a deep voice, scream, yell, try to dominate/intimidate or just hope the dog understands the word).
