About the New York State Lop Club The New York State Lop Club (NYSLC) is a French and English Lop specialty that was founded in 1988 by Ms. Charlotte Bowley. Although based in New York State, the NYSLC welcomes members from all over the country. Throughout the years, the standard and quality of the French and English Lops has changed, but the purpose of the New York State Lop Club has not; to promote the two lop breeds while producing rabbits that are exemplars for the Standard of Perfection. There will be some candid shots, a photo booth set up as well as props if you just feel like being silly with your rabbit or friends. Lop National Show Rules 1. This is an official ARBA sanctioned show and is governed by the latest rules 2. Entries for the Lop National show, Specialty show, Apparel and Banquet must be post marked on or before April 1 st 3. All entries must be in place by 10PM Friday April 27 th 4. Entries are $8 per rabbit for the National Show on 4/28/2018 and $4 per rabbit for the Lop Specialty Show on 4/29/2018 5. No changes may be made after April 18 th except for extenuating circumstances which will be determined on a case by case basis 6. Any animal showing signs of sickness or disease will be removed from the show room at the discretion of the Superintendent and the entry fee will be forfeited 7. The show committee reserves the right to substitute judges if necessary 8. All rabbits must have a permanent and legible earmark 9. Judging will conducted by private ear number and coop numbers 10. Exhibitors (with the assistance of runners) will be responsible for carrying their own rabbits 11. The NYSLC and New York State Fair will not be responsible in case of fire, theft, accident or providential destruction, however, precautions will be taken to reduce any risks 12. There will be no smoking permitted in any building on the fairgrounds property 13. Dogs are NOT permitted on the fairgrounds during any time 14. Children must be supervised at all times 15. No exhibitor or spectator will be permitted behind the show tables while judging is being conducted, without prior approval of the Superintendent and Show Secretary 16. The showroom will be open at 3 PM on Friday and 6 AM Saturday and Sunday 17. Judging will start promptly at 8AM. 18. Exhibitors must pick up check-in sheets and verify entry prior to the show Saturday 19. NO CHANGES DONE AT JUDGES TABLE unless approved by show secretary 20. This is a cooped show. All carry cages used for traveling may be stored under the coops and should have leak proof bottoms 21. Grooming tables, chairs, and blowers WILL be allowed in the showroom pending space 22. ABSOLUTELY NO dogs, cats, or animals other than rabbits will be allowed in the showroom 23. Anyone causing a disturbance or trying to intimidate a judge will be asked to leave and their entry fee will be forfeited 24. There will be No Breeding Allowed in the Showroom 25. All special awards (class wins, BOV/BOSV, BOB/BOSB, BIS/RIS, display) will be presented at the banquet Saturday night 26. All animals must be removed from the showroom by 6PM Sunday April 29 th 27. Checks are to be made out to The New York State Lop Club 28. One check may be written to include the total of entries, apparel and banquet tickets so long as the appropriate forms are filled out and submitted. 29. All returned checks will be charged a $25.00 fee the first and second time they are deposited 30. All show reports will be sent to exhibitor via e-mail (when applicable) 31.
