WEE RESCUE PLACEMENT POLICIES Please read before completing our Questionnaire. ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Complete the questionnaire (Application). Your Application will be reviewed and you will be interviewed at a Meet and Greet event or by telephone. 2. Upon approval of your Application, a home visit will be conducted by a Wee Rescue volunteer. 3. Once a match between a dog and you is mutually discussed and agreed, the adoption contract is signed and the adoption fee is paid. Then you and your new best friend begin your new lives together. PLACEMENT POLICIES 1. We adopt our dogs to homes in the Austin metro area and nearby communities. 2. There are times when more than one person wants the same dog. We take multiple Applications on each dog and make every effort to match the right dog with the right family. There may be times when the dog that you are interested in may not be the right match for you and/or your family. If that is the case, please know that it is not necessarily a reflection on you or your ability to love and care for a dog. We base placement decisions on the specific needs of each dog. 3. There is a non-refundable adoption fee of $350 for dogs under 8 years old, the adoption fee for dogs 8 years old and older is $250. A $10 service charge will apply when using credit cards. Wee Rescue is a non-profit organization and all of the fees that are collected go directly to the care of our dogs. We are entirely staffed by volunteers and there are no paid organization members. 4. Completing an Application does not insure approval for adoption from our organization. Wee Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone who we believe cannot/will not provide an appropriate environment for the breeds that we rescue. 5. We do not adopt our dogs to homes that have intact (not neutered or spayed) animals. Please tear off and keep this first sheet of the Questionnaire Wee Rescue, Inc. P.O. Box 66872, Austin, TX 78766 Phone (512) 533-9360 ~ Fax (512) 857-1002 Website: www.weerescue.org Email: info@weerescue.org

Wee Rescue Placement Questionnaire Please submit this application to personnel at the Meet & Greet or email or fax it to Wee Rescue. Email: info@weerescue.org. Fax: (512) 857-1002. This questionnaire is intended to be a guide to help you think about all the ways a new dog will impact your life. All of the questions concern various aspects of dog ownership that should be given serious consideration. We understand this questionnaire is lengthy, but the dog you adopt may be with you for the next ten (10) years or longer, so we feel the extra time spent now will ensure the dog you adopt will be the right dog for you. Do you have the financial resources to devote to the dog s upkeep? Are you willing to spend approximately one (1) hour each week brushing and combing your dog (or more if it gets into burrs or gets wet)? This additional maintenance is required whether dog is being professionally groomed or you are grooming your dog yourself. Are you prepared to deal with the cost of both routine veterinarian care (worming, annual shots, flea treatment and heartworm preventative) and non-routine/emergency veterinary care, especially as the dog gets older? Our dogs take heartworm and flea prevention at the middle of each month, and we would expect you to continue this treatment when you adopt the dog. Are you familiar with heartworm and flea prevention and are you willing to continue this treatment?
