to wag about PAWS TM DOG TRAINING

Anna K. Bolick is the trainer and owner of Paws With No Flaws Dog Training. Anna offers private dog training sessions and behavior consultations in each individual dogs home. All the training is based on positive training methods and is tailored to your dog's personality, age and temperament. At the same time, achieving your goals and concerns with your four legged family member. Anna was born and raised in Swedenwhere she learned from an early childhood what the bond between animals and humans was all about. Her parents were very involved with German Shepherds, raising and training them for the Swedish Police and Army. Understanding dogs mentality and learning capabilities has always been second nature to Anna since a very young age, because of this gift, she is able to achieve success through motivating each dog, regardless of age, breed and temperament. Whenshe came to the USin 1993, she continued the study of dog behavior and training from both the USand Sweden. Anna continues to lend her support and time to various rescue groups and shelters as a canine behavior consultant to increase the adoptability among rescue dogs. Member of APDT (association of pet dog trainers) IACP(international association of canine professionals) NADal (national association of dog obedience instructors) HSUSDARTmember (humane society of the US, Disaster Animal Response Team) (Anna spent time doing animal rescue in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina) ASPCA(American society for the prevention of cruelty to animals)

"You CANteach an old dog new tricks!" Behavioral Consultations Sessions are dependent upon issues Let's face it, our dogs ain't Lassie. Each year thousands of dogs in the US are taken to shelters or euthanized because they are displaying different behaviors that most people think can't be corrected. There are many types of behavior issues in dogs that we find difficult to live with... but the good news is that most of these can be eliminated. Here are some behavior issues that Anna has worked with in the past, such as: -Separation anxiety -Digging -Chewing -Jumping on people -Fear -Nipping -Car chasing -Begging -Possessive of objects -Excessive Barking -Aggression -Food-stealing -Multi-Dog household issues -Housebreaking -Mouthing -Running Away -New baby (preparing for and/or getting used to) -Sibling rivalry And many more lf any of these sound familiar, call today, your dog will thank you for it!

Puppy Manners - 3 Sessions 8 Weeks &. Older This is a great 3 session course for puppies 8 weeks or older. If your are a first time dog owner, had dogs for years and just need some brushing up, or a breeder looking for a great option to include to each new dog owner, either way, it sure will get your puppy off on the right "paw" in life. Subjects that will be covered include: Working on building a trusting and loving relationship with your new family-member, which is the foundation for any happy and well- behaved dog. -Housebreaking -Chewing/NippingfT eething -Not running out the front door -Jumping -Getting accustomed to a leash -Learning to sit -The importance of pack structure "Remember to socialize your dog as much as possible, especially while young, to prevent fear as an older dog." NEVER hit or yell at your dog, you will create a dog that will fear you and other humans, and also might become a "fear-biter"

Basic Obedience Course - 7 Sessions Puppies-Seniors Anna works individually with you and your dog and anybody else that you might want to include in the training (great family activity). Personalized techniques are used that will most benefit your dog's individual personality and temperament. All the training is based on positive reinforcement and keeping your dog motivated throughout the training. Throughout this course your dog/dogs would learn to respond to voice commands and hand signals with all the commands and follow through on one command. All the commands would be started at your dog's individual level and then distractions would be increased and the commands would be introduced into real-life situations -in and around your home and environment where the commands will come in use. For example: sit-stay at the front door, laying down from a distance with hand-signal only, coming when called when distracted, etc. The course includes: -Sit -Sit-Stay -Down -Down-Stay -Heel (walking nicely on a leash on your side with an automatic sit when you stop) -Come (with a automatic sit in front of you) -Whistle Training, your dog would learn to respond immediately back to you to the sound of a silent whistle, that dogs can hear from a 3-4 times further distance than human voice -Not running out front door -Proper greetings (no jumping) -And other concerns such as Housebreaking, Barking Digging, Leave it, Begging, Foodstealing, etc.
