ENTRY FEES PER DAY Each entry of each dog.....$45.00 Entry fees include $3.50 AKC recording fee per first entry. Entries will be accepted by email with PayPal payment. All entries received with credit/debit card for payment will have a service charge added (10%). YVKC and the Trial Secretary assume(s) no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. Entries not on official AKC herding entry forms or photocopies of entry forms without the agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC herding entry form are invalid. In addition, entries will not be accepted without fees or signature. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions, or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Illegible or incomplete entries will not be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor. Entries not accompanied by the correct fees, or a returned check, or a postdated check do not constitute a valid entry. The Trial Secretary will add a $25.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their future entries being put on a CASH ONLY basis. Owners are responsible for any errors on entry forms regardless of who makes such errors. No entry fee will be returned in the event of such errors or cancellation of entries after published closing date. Duplicate entries will not be refunded if already processed. A maximum of 10 entries per envelope is allowed. Envelopes with more than 10 entries and/or entries received prior to the opening date will be returned. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club is offering a wait list to fill openings created by withdrawn entries after the trial s closing August 25, 2018, 9:00 pm MT. A maximum of 25 entries will be placed on the club's wait list. All entries, including wait listed entries, must be received by the Trial Secretary prior to closing August 25, 2018, 9:00 pm MT. Any entries withdrawn that are received by August 25, 2018, 9:00 pm MT will be replaced by a first received wait listed entry if any are available. If a withdrawn entry is replaced by a wait listed entry, a full refund will be issued for the withdrawn entry. Any wait listed entry that does not move off the wait list into the trial by August 25, 2018, 9:00 pm MT will receive a full refund. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. Bitches in season shall be eligible and will run at the end of the level in tests and in catalog order as listed in the level in trials. No entry fees will be refunded if the Trial cannot open or be completed by reasons of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, or any other causes beyond the control of the club, trial committee or trial secretary. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive, or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness, or other cause, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against YVKC or officials thereof. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club is NOT accepting online entries. Please mail or email entries so that they arrive on or before closing. If you would like to know the status of your entry prior to the issuance of the running order upon closing, please enclose a self-stamped envelope or postcard along with your entry. Confirmations and running orders will be emailed unless otherwise requested. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event.

The exhibitor is fully responsible for entering the dog in the correct class(es/tests. Check-In will begin at 8:00 AM MT on all days. Judging will start at 9:00 AM MT on all days. JUDGING INFORMATION Check-in for all dogs and judge s briefing will take place prior to start time. Dogs may arrive any time prior to judging. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. They will adhere as closely as possible to the judging schedule. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. Neither the club nor the Trial Secretary have any obligation or responsibility to provide a service, through a public-address system, or stewards, or runners, for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. MOVEUPS A dog may be moved up to the next level in a test or trial in which it is entered and for which entries have closed when, according to the owner s records, the dog has met the title requirements for the level in which it is entered. A dog may be moved up in the next test or trial, provided that the next level is available (i.e.: offered in the premium list) and that a Judge is available, and, provided further, that the level is not filled. Notification must be made to the Test/ Trial Secretary at least one-half hour before the start of the event. The dog cannot be moved up at the event on which it completes its qualifications for a title, or if the move-up would enter a dog twice under the same Judge. The Committee s decision is final. DOGS ELIGIBLE All dogs nine (9) months of age or older from breeds accepted into the herding program that are registered with The American Kennel Club are eligible to participate in herding tests and trials. However, dogs may enter an Instinct test at six months of age. All dogs nine (9) months of age or older that are enrolled in the AKC Foundation Stock Services (FSS) program and are from breeds accepted into the herding program are eligible to participate in herding tests and trials. FSS breeds may earn suffix titles only. All dogs nine (9) months of age or older from the breeds accepted into the herding program that are enrolled in the Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) program formerly known as the ILP program are eligible to participate in herding tests and trials. Bitches in season will be allowed but will be moved to the end of the class in tests and in catalog order as listed in the class in trials. Please notify the Test/Trial Secretary one-half hour before judging tests are to begin if your bitch is in season.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS SAFETY, BEHAVIOR and LIABILITY The safety of the dog is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all tasks safely. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create an unnecessary disturbance or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the trial committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club and its agents, employees, etc., will assume no responsibilities for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club reserves the right to decline entries for cause and may remove any dog on account of aggression. No one shall have any recourse or claim against Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club, Trial Secretary, or any official thereof. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club will not be responsible for the loss of/or damage to any dog entered and exhibited, whether the result of accident or other cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this trial is under the care, custody, and control of its owner or handler at all times. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club, Club officers, board members, and the Trial Secretary assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by the exhibitors, their dogs, or property. All dogs must be on leash at all times or otherwise confined when on trial/show grounds except when in the designated warm-up area or competing on the course. (AKC leash restrictions March 2009). Trial grounds are defined as the entire public interior area of the C5 Ranch as well as the area surrounding the arena. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefit of refund if the Trial Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement. Cleaning supplies and disposal sites will be available at various locations around the show grounds. When not competing, dogs must be confined or held on leash and kept away from the livestock and the trial/test area. Under no circumstances will dogs be allowed to disturb the resting stock or interfere outside the ring with another dog s performance in the ring. These trials are held indoor and/or outdoors. The temperature can fluctuate so please be prepared for all types of weather. Please plan on providing shade for your dog(s). Lunch will be available on site. RIBBONS, AWARDS, AND PRIZES Ribbons will be awarded in each trial class as follows: First Place...Blue Second Place... Red Third Place...Yellow Fourth Place...White Fifth Place...Pink Qualifying Score...Dark Green High in Trial.. Blue, Red, & White Rosette Reserve High in Trial...Yellow, Red, & White Rosette A qualifying score is required for all awards. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other person. I (we) will pay for any injuries or the replacement value in the event of serious injury to the livestock caused by my (our) dog. I (we) agree that the determination of whether the injury is serious shall be made by the event veterinarian and is binding on me (us). I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THIS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSU- ANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.
