Eligibility as a Junior. Any Junior who is under 18 years old on the day of the show is eligible to compete as a Junior in Performance and Companion Events. The Junior must obtain a Junior Number prior to the day of the event. The ownership requirement is the same as for participating in Conformation Junior Showmanship: the dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or the Junior Handler s father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather, or grandmother, including corresponding step and half relations, or by a permanent member of the Junior Handler s household. The above ownership definition must be in place at the time entries are submitted to receive the discount. DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTRY DOGS This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP), AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds are eligible to participate. All American dogs that have been listed with AKC Canine Partners may participate if the trial-giving club is offering the option of mixed breed entries and provided their listing number has been recorded on the entry form. Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word dog is used in these regulations it includes both sexes. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. Puppies under 4 months of age are strictly prohibited from the trial grounds. DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to Judging, otherwise, they must be available for measuring before their class begins. RULES AND REGULATIONS Obstacles used by the Mt. Nittany Dog Training Club meet the specifications in the current edition of Regulations for Agility Trials. NOTE TO EXHIBITORS Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Dogs who measure into the 24 regular jump height division may not enter 24- choice. Simplified Jump Height Card Process When filling out the entry form, there is a section at the top of the form for exhibitors to designate whether the dog needs to be measured. Please check the appropriate box so that the Trial Secretary knows whether to include the dog entered on the Dogs to Be Measured List. It is no longer required that a copy of a dog s jump height card be submitted with an entry form or shown at check-in, although exhibitors are required to have the official form/card with them at the trial to present upon request. Dogs without a valid jump height card/form may still compete; but they must be measured/wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class; this measurement will be valid for this weekend of trials only. The exception to this requirement is a dog entered in the 24 or 26 height division. However, if a Volunteer Measuring Official (VMO) or an Agility Field Rep is present, ALL dogs without a valid jump height card/form must be measured at some time during the trial or cluster of trials. This does not preclude having the dog wicketed by the Judge of Record if the VMO or Rep is not available to measure the dog before its first run of the trial or cluster of trials. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running, and failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores. **NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ** OPENING DATE: 8 am, Friday, March 2, 2018 at 250 Trail Rd., Hershey, PA 17033. Trial is LIMITED to 330 runs per day. Entries received prior to opening date and time will be returned. Maximum 10 dogs per envelope. Exhibitors, through submission of entry, acknowledge that they are familiar with AKC agility rules and regulations and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. CLOSING DATE: 5 pm, Friday, April 27, 2018, after which entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules and in Chapter 1, Section 14 of the AKC Agility Trial Rules and Regulations. ENTRY FEE $24.00 for the first entry of a dog; $12.00 for each additional entry of the same dog per day. (Includes a $3.00 AKC recording fee per run.) MAIL ALL ENTRIES WITH FEES PAYABLE TO MNDTC (Mt. Nittany Dog Training Club), c/o Bonnie Reifsnyder, 250 Trail Rd., Hershey, PA 17033 Entries not submitted on the current official AKC Entry forms or photocopies of entry forms without the Agreement and Rules attached to the Official AKC Entry Form are not acceptable. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dog and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dog and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Show Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such cases, no refund of any fees paid by the exhibitor will be made. All dogs must be on leash and attached to their handler at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area. This includes the areas surrounding the outside of the show building. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Club s Treasurer will add a $36 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. JUDGES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WAIT FOR DOGS. The Owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a public address system for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Dogs participating must be fifteen months of age or older and must be registered with the American Kennel Club or have an AKC Limited Registration or ILP / PAL registration. Dogs must be physically sound. Dogs that are blind shall not be eligible. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Neither MNDTC, Scores-N-More nor Penn State University are responsible for the loss of, damage to, or death of any dog exhibited, or the possessions of any participant, whether the result of accident or any other cause. Declination of Entries: The MNDTC may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove dogs on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Mt. Nittany Dog Training Club or any official thereof. Dogs must be available for measuring before their class begins. Don t lose your Q because you did not get measured before you ran. Exhibitors are responsible for verifying the accuracy of their dog s entry information. Preliminary confirmations are e/mailed as soon as entries are processed, and final confirmations are mailed after the closing date of the trial. Revised confirmations are sent by e/mail as soon as changes are processed. If you send a change and don t receive a response, the information was not received. Absolutely no corrections will be accommodated after the final move-up deadline, which is the Monday before the trial.

MOVE UP FORM As per Chapter 1, Section 20, American Kennel Club Regulation for Agility Trials, dogs may be moved up to a higher class, at the request of the Owner, as a result of qualifying for an agility title. Dogs so moved up will be entered at the end of the running order or otherwise at the secretary s or Judges discretion. The dog can also be moved up a level (Nov to Open) at the request of the owner subject to the normal move-up criteria. Before the trial Move ups may be made prior to the moveup deadline via email to scoresnmore@verizon.net,or in writing to MNDTC c/o Bonnie Reifsnyder, 250 Trail Rd., Hershey, PA 17033.
