Customers charges that are declined will be assessed a service charge of $25.00. Incomplete entries or entries received without fees, or entries received after the advertised closing date will not be accepted. Please mail entries early to ensure that they are received before the t closing date. It is recommended that you phone after you fax your entry to ensure that it was received and readable. All NSF cheques will be subject to a $35.00 service fee. Attention Foreign Exhibitors Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will NOT be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. BORDER CROSSING A Rabies Certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada, Government Regulations require a Certificate prior to entry into Canada. Event Registration Number (ERN) Notice All dogs that are foreign born and owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events will require an ERN. An ERN must be obtained within 30 days of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request for a 30 day extension to the CKC. An ERN may be obtained by contacting the CKC at: (416) 675-5511 5511 or Fax (416) 675-6506.

CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB SCHEDULE OF CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION 2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: (*Includes the dog awarded Winners.) Dogs Competing* 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 or more Points Allocated* 0 1 2 3 4 5 To determine the number of championship points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all the dogs in competition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. A dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for championship points. Further section 15.1.12 {C} has been added and states the dog must: have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed level or group level. The system provides for additional points if a dog awarded winners also places in the Group as listed hereunder. In no case may a dog earn more than five (5) points at a single show. To earn a Canadian Championship, a dog must earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; and be individually registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, or have a CKC EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN). Grand Champion (GCh) The title of Grand Champion may only be earned after the completion of the CKC Conformation Championship. Points for this title are only accumulated after the completion of the Conformation Championship and do not include the points earned in attaining the Conformation Championship. All required points are to be earned at the breed level. To be awarded a Grand Champion title, a dog must attain a minimum of 20 points which must include one Best of Breed and a minimum of two wins of at least two points each. a) Grand Champion Point System Points towards the Grand Champion title are awarded to the Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog and Select Bitch. Points are calculated based on the number of animals competing at the breed level for the Best of Breed Winner and the number of similar sex dogs competing for the other three (Best of Opposite, Select Dog, Select Bitch). The following schedule shall be employed in the determination of points awarded as follows: In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for Grand Champion points. The title of Grand Champion shall not be awarded retroactively and all points towards this title must be achieved after the date of January 1, 2013. Points earned toward the Grand Champion title are to be recorded by the owner/handler on the form obtained from the Canadian Kennel Club. Once the owner/handler believes that their exhibit has attained the requirements for the Grand Champion title, the form may be submitted to the Canadian Kennel Club for verification and awarding of the title. Grand Champion Excellent (GChEx) The title of Grand Champion Excellent may only be earned after the completion of the CKC Grand Championship title. CONFORMATION The following classes will be provided, divided by sex. REGULAR CLASSES JUNIOR PUPPY - 6 months & under 9 months on the day of the show SENIOR PUPPY- 9 months & under 12 months on the day of the show 12-18 MONTH CLASS - for dogs 12 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show CANADIAN BRED - for dogs born in Canada, Champions in any country excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR - shall be for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder. OPEN CLASS - shall be for all Dogs. SPECIALS ONLY - A dog may be entered for Specials Only and such dog shall compete for Best of Breed award. If eligible it must compete for the award of Best of Opposite Sex. All awards the dog earned at the show will be cancelled if, at the time of closing of entries for the show, the dog was not registered individually in the records of the Canadian Kennel Club or if the dog has not earned all the championship points required for championship status. The entry of a Listed Dog in this class is NOT allowed. VETERAN-Veterans will be divided Males and Females with a Best of Breed judged for each. The Best of Breed winner will go on to Best Veteran in Group and Best Veteran in Show. Dogs must be 7 years or older on the day of the show. Unofficial Baby Puppy- For dogs 3 mths of age & under 6 mths of age dogs will compete in this unofficial class for Best Male/Best Female, Best Baby Puppy in Breed, Group & Show. They do not compete for Winners. BRACE- At an all-breed or specialty show a club may, but is not required to, offer a Brace Class. This class shall be for 2 dogs of the same breed (not necessarily of the same sex). A Brace should be judged as an identical pair same colour, size, gait, and same stride. When viewed from the side they should appear as one dog and its shadow. A brace must be handled by 1 person on 1 lead STUD DOG & GET -shall be comprised of the stud dog and 2 or more of his get. Ownership in this class need not be identical. The stud dog may be spayed/neutered and must be entered in a Regular class or in Exhibition Only. JUVENILE SWEEPSTAKES Judge: Irene Gilles American Cocker Spaniels This Sweepstakes class is open to all American Cocker Spaniels from 3 months to under 18 months on the day of the show regardless of their place of birth. All dogs MUST also be entered in a regular class or for exhibition only. The first place dog from each class will be brought together to compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes. Classes (divided by sex) will be as follows: 3-6 months Male/Female 6-9 months Male/Female 9-12 months Male/Female 12-18 months Male/Female The Club will retain 25% of the total fees collected for Juvenile Sweepstakes Best In Sweepstakes - 20% of total entry fees collected & Rosette Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes - 15% of total entry fees collected & Rosette First in each class - 5% of class fees collected & Rosette Flat ribbons are awarded for remaining placements. English Cocker Spaniels This Sweepstakes class is open to all English Cocker Spaniels from 3 months to under 18 months on the day of the show regardless of their place of birth. All dogs MUST also be entered in a regular class or for exhibition only. The first place dog from each class will be brought together to compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Held under CKC Rules and Regulations and as printed in the show catalogue Saturday Oct 8th 2017 over the lunch hour. Entries to be taken up to 1 hour prior to this event. There will be a $2.00 fee which will be collected at the show Judge Irene Gill CLASSES Peewee (Unofficial Class) Junior Novice Junior Open Intermediate Novice Senior Novice Senior Open Intermediate Open Junior handling is open to all persons from ages 4 up to 18 years of age on the date of competition. All Dogs must also be entered in the regular classes at the all-breed show, but need not be owned by the junior or any of his immediate family. A rosette and suitable prize will be awarded to the winners of First in each class, flat ribbons will be given to 2nd through 4th in each class. PeeWee handlers will receive a Participant ribbon and prize. A rosette and prize will be offered for Best Overall. CKC Junior Representative, BCSW Zone.Pam Legult Junior Handling Number Please note that effective January 1, 2016, in accordance with Section 3.4.1 of the Junior Handling Rules & Regulations, Junior Handlers will be required to apply to CKC Head Office for a Junior Handling Number. Section 3.4.1 Junior Handler with the exception of PeeWees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked. The Application For Junior Handler Number is posted on the CKC website under theevents tab, and thenunder Event Forms, Exhibitor, or Event Supplies, Junior Handling. The application can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed e to CKC Head Office and there is no fee. Non on-member participation fee a) An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. The fee will match the ERN fee. b) In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. c) These fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by non-ckc members and are not applicable to CKC members." EXTRACTS TS FROM CONFORMATION SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS JUDGES SECTION 4.1.3 A judge officiating at a show held under these rules shall not be subjected to any indignities of any kind during the progress of the show. It shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see this rule is effectively carried out. SHOW OFFICIALS SECTION 5.1.5 A show-giving club will be held responsible during the show for the conduct of exhibitors and spectators. Any person acting in an abusive or objectionable manner must be removed from the show on complaint to the Show Superintendent. ENTRY FORMS SECTION 8.2.3 Entry forms received by the CKC, which are incomplete and/or contain incorrect information may result in awards being cancelled. ENTRY FORMS SECTION 8.2.5 An error in an age-specified class, the class, date of birth or sex may be amended on the entry form up to one hour before the start of the show. ENTRIES - SECTION 8.3.1 Every dog entered in a conformation show must be one of the following: a. registered with the CKC b. have an Event Registration Number c. eligible for registration with the CKC, or d. if it belongs to a listed breed, it must have a Miscellaneous Certification Number (MCN) REFUSAL OF ENTRIES SECTION 8.6.2 A Club may refuse any entry form from an exhibitor known to have tendered a dishonoured cheque or declined credit card unless entries are accompanied by cash, money order or certified cheque. DISQUALIFICATIONS SECTION 14.1.4 Once a dog has been disqualified for any reason at a conformation show, it may not be entered or shown at another show until the dog has been reinstated by the CKC. All awards earned by the dog shown in violation of this section will be cancelled by the CKC and the owner of the dog is subject to disciplinary action.

A DOG EXCUSED BY THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT OR VETERINARIAN FOR ANY REASON SHALL NOT, COMPETE IN ANY CLASS FOR ANY AWARDS FOR BALANCE OF THE SHOW. 3. THE SHOW COMMITTEE WILL USE DUE CARE AND DILIGENCE FOR THE WELFARE OF DOGS AND EXHIBITORS, BUT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, OR ASSUME ANY LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT OR MISFORTUNE TO EITHER DOGS, EXHIBITORS, SPECTATORS OR VENDORS. 4. DOGS MUST BE ON THE GROUNDS 1-HOUR PRIOR TO THE JUDGING OF THEIR BREED. THE OWNER OF A DOG ENTERED IN THESE SHOWS IS ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERROR IN ENTERING THE DOG 5.
