TENTATIVE SCHEDULE TUES June 5 WED June 6 THURS June 7 FRI. June 8 SAT. June 9 THROUGHOUT THE SHOW AS TIME PERMITS: CGC AND TRICK DOG TESTING DNA TYPING KITS AVAILABLE. DR SANDERS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALUKI DOPPLERS, DAY(S) TO BE DETERMINED THE SILKEN CLUB WILL ALSO HOLD HEALTH TESTS COFFEE AND TEA AVAILABLE WED-THURS-FRI-SAT IN THE VENDOR AREA ASFA Lure Coursing Trial tentatively begins at 6:30AM at the Purina Coursing Field. Vendors may begin setting up at 11:00AM in their spots. Exhibitor Set-up begins at 12:00PM. Reserved spaces will have names on them, other set up space is available for the duration of the show on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see set-up and ringside rules. NO X-Pens will be allowed except in the set-up area, or vendor booths, with floor protection, and all crates must be either in the set up area or the designated day crating area and must have a towel or mat under each crate. Dogs may be at ringside on leash with appropriate size mat or bed. Futurity will begin at approximately 1:00PM in a designated ring with Obedience and Rally in a separate ring. Welcome to the National DOG EAT DOG Social 6:00 PM at the Pavilion. The building will stay open until 9:00 PM to keep the dogs comfortable. Reserved RV Parking continues until complete - see Show Chair. AKC Lure Coursing Trial Early (tentatively 6:30 am) See Judging Program for Actual Times. Checkerboard Café will be open at 7:00 am serving breakfast and lunch (every day). Announcements are made before classes begin each day. Agility will begin in the Great Hall at approximately 9:00 am. Agility equipment will remain and that ring will be off-limits for everyone after the Agility trial is complete. Veterans Sweepstakes will begin at 9:00 am with Puppy Sweeps to follow, then Dual Title Sweepstakes, then Versatility Conformation Competition. Lunch break will be at approximately noon. Pee Wee Juniors at Lunch Break. Building closes to public at 6:00 or completion of judging. SCOA Annual Meeting in Founders Room (2nd floor) 7:30 AM (tentative) Coffee and pastries provided. Board meeting to follow. AKC JC/QC Tests A & B will be held at the Coursing Field. See Tom Cigolle for information. Announcements begin at approximately 9:30 AM am then Dog Classes. Times may vary depending on number of entries. Lunch at judge s discretion. Junior Showmanship classes before Dog Classes and Triathlon Conformation immediately after Dog Classes are completed. Costume Class after Triathlon Conformation. Event Center Building closes at 6:00 pm Puppy/Fun Runs on Fly Ball Field (outside main building.) Before bitch classes. Judge Education seminar and mentoring. Announcements begin at approximately 8:30 am then Bitch Classes at 9:00 am. Times may vary depending on number of entries. Lunch at judge s discretion. Wine and Cheese Social, Desert Bred Exhibition, Announcements, Live Auction, Top Twenty Upstairs. Building is closed to public after judging and to party-goers after 9:30 pm (or after the party winds down). Judges Education mentoring during judging. Stud Dog, Brood Bitch and Brace Classes. Best of Breed Competition and NOHS. Best Bred-By-Exhibitor and Best Puppy. Building closes at 6:00 pm or 30 minutes after completion of judging and pictures. Photographer takes final pictures. We wrap up another fabulous National CHECKERBOARD CAFE The Checkerboard Café is open daily at 7:00 am for breakfast and lunch. DIVISION OF SWEEPSTAKES FUNDS EACH SWEEPSTAKES 35% of entry fees will be retained by the club for expenses. The remaining 65% in each class becomes the Sweepstakes Fund to be divided among the winners of each class as follows: FIRST PRIZE... 40% SECOND PRIZE... 30% THIRD PRIZE... 20% FOURTH PRIZE... 10% ROUTES TO SHOW I-44 FROM EAST OR WEST take Gray Summit exit #253 (Hwy 100 E.). Turn north on Hwy 100 E. Go approximately ½ mile to MM & turn left. There are small Purina signs on the corner. MM is a very winding road. Large vehicles use care. Entrance to the Farm is about 1 mile on the left. There are large security gates. ACCOMMODATIONS PLEASE NOTE - The American Kennel Club and the Saluki Club of America are serious about the need to preserve pet friendly hotels and areas for the future. People who abuse their pet privileges at these hotels are subject to discipline by SCOA and AKC. If you are reported by a hotel for abusing your pet privileges there will be a bench hearing and resultant discipline if the hearing results in a determination that you acted in a manner not in the best interests of the Sport. The Host Hotel has a specified exercise area and SCOA provides bags for disposal of pet waste. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS ~ GENERAL RULES SHOW LOCATION IS AVAILABLE TO EXHIBITORS AFTER 12:00 NOON, TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 2018 All crates and x-pens must be kept in the Grooming/Set-Up area on the plastic floor covering. Exceptions are for the Vendor Area and for designated day-crating area but all enclosures must have protection for the floor. We ask that all exhibitors strive to keep their dogs as quiet as possible. Thank you Parking is allowed on blacktop surfaces only. NO PARKING ON THE GRASS AREAS. Vending is not allowed outside of the vending area, in vehicles, personal tents or setups. Anyone vending will be required to pay the official vending fee. As a General Rule, Purina does not allow vending of any product that competes with Purina products. Please turn off cell phones and/or pagers before entering rings. TRANSFER OF ENTRIES CONFORMATION: Dogs may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship juding at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another, provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner s records the handler and dog are eligible provided the club offers transfers. Transfers from an A to B class at the same level are allowed provided the host club allows transfers. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Clubs may choose to accept transfers prior to the day of the trial and this should be clearly stated in the premium list. Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made.
