RULE CHANGE JAN 1, 2018 All handlers must now present their height cards at check-in. To speed up this process we are asking that those with finished cards to please enclose a copy of your completed height card with your entry, so we can check you in before the trial. Those that still need a measurement to finish their cards can check in during the measuring process. We will offer an extra measuring after the second event each day for those that want to enter just games and don t want to come first thing in the morning! New Jump Heights: Division Category Regular Special Veteran Double Dropped Veteran Mini 8 4 4 N/A Medium 12 8 8 4 16 12 12 8 Open 20 16 16 12 24 20 20 16 *** For more details, see the document Changes to Measurement Process on the AAC website at the following address http://aac.ca/en/forms/main/ *** BECOMING A CAANS MEMBER: CAANS is not a training club, we don t hold classes, but we do hold trials for those who want to trial. CAANS currently holds four AAC trials a year. While members are required to pitch in and help with trials and the running of the club, there are plenty of perks. Currently, a reduction in trial entries, first opportunity to enter limited entry trials, a two-hour member-only practice session at the UDSC barn in Mt. Uniacke every week, and special award presentations for the big titles at the end of each year at our holiday party. A very fun party. While there is a onetime initiation fee to join, if you enter all our trials for a year and a half, you will have saved back the initiation fee. After that it s just the nominal yearly membership fees. If you are interested, talk to us or contact leslie.lord@ns.sympatico.ca for membership forms or more info.

Trial Information MEASURING: Regular measuring will be done in the morning prior to the beginning of judging. A second measuring will be offered after the second event each day. Volunteer List: The volunteer list will be posted to the CAANS website in advance of the trial and at the gate the day of the trial. Please check the volunteer list carefully and report any conflicts prior to, and on the day of, the trial to the Volunteer Coordinator, it is always better if you can resolve it yourself and let the coordinator know. Notice to Exhibitors Exhibitors, through submission of entry, acknowledge that they are knowledgeable of current AAC rules and regulations including, but not limited to, the following: This event will be held in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Agility Association of Canada (AAC). ENTRIES The Canine Agility Association of Nova Scotia (CAANS) reserves the right to refuse any entry. Anyone not in good standing with AAC / CAANS will not be allowed to enter the trial. This is a limited entry trial. CAANS members will receive first priority for entries. A waiting list of entries received after the limit is reached will be kept. In case of cancellations, spaces will be filled from the waiting list in the order that the original entries were received. Cheques are made payable to CAANS and dated no later than the closing date. Entries must be received by the closing date. We do not accept cash or e transfers. Refunds will not be given for cancellations after the closing date except for bitches in season or injury to a dog (veterinarian certificate required), or handler, which physically prevents them from competing. Refunds requested for any other reason will be handled on a case by case basis and will be at the discretion of the CAANS Trial Committee. A $50 fee will be applied to all NSF cheques.
