On Sunday, each level will run Standard 4 and Standard 5 back to back, beginning with the Beginner level. A warm up area, consisting of regulation TDAA equipment, shall be provided for all exhibitors. Obstacle Familiarization will be provided on Saturday and Sunday mornings approximately 15 minutes prior to judging for all dogs and handlers. No toys or treats may be used in the ring during familiarization. Obstacles The following is a list of obstacles to be used. Note that effective September 1, 2016, the TDAA neither allows nor requires performance of the collapsed tunnel (aka chute ) at TDAA-sanctioned events. A-frame (9, slatted) Single and winged jumps Table (35 x 35 ) Dog Walk (12 planks, no slats) Teeter (12 plank, no slats) Open (Pipe) Tunnel (24 diameter) Tire Jump (20 opening) Weave poles (24 separation) All obstacles meet the larger size of TDAA equipment requirements. All contact obstacles are rubberized. 2

Height Divisions Owners are responsible for entering the proper height division. Judges reserve the right to measure dogs entered in any trial. At the handler s option, dogs may be entered in a higher height division, but not in a lower than their proper height division. Dogs that run in a height division lower than their division will be eliminated. Provisional dogs must be measured by a judge. Note: It is no longer necessary to present a jump height card when entering a TDAA trial. However, it is recommended that the handler be able to produce it at the trial if requested. TDAA allows dog s handler/owner to choose the appropriate jump height for that dog. That means that all jump height exemptions based on body type do not apply as jump heights are self-selecting. Please note that dogs, including veterans, compete against dogs in the height class they measure into based on withers height. 2 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 4 or less at the withers. 4 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 8 or less at the withers. 8 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 12 or less at the withers. 12 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 16 or less at the withers. 16 score height: Restricted to dogs measuring 17 or less at the withers. Veteran dogs: A jump height exemption granted to dogs of at least 7 years of age. Veteran dogs receive an extension for Standard course times. 4 veterans receive an additional 4 seconds while 8, 12 and 16 veterans receive an additional 2 seconds. Disabled Handlers: Handlers who have been given handicap status by their home state will be granted a time exemption of 4 seconds for Standard course times and 4 seconds for Qualifying course times for time-based games classes. See TDAA rules for additional information. This additional time is in addition to any exemption given to the handler s dog due to Veteran status. Proof of disability shall be a copy of the handler s disabled parking tag or official documentation provided with the entry or presented at check-in. There will be no special system of titling for veteran dogs or for disabled handlers. Awards Ribbons will be awarded for 1 st through 3 rd in each jump height of each class. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. Dogs may receive placement ribbons without qualifying. Fast track dogs will only get qualifying ribbons at the Beginners/Games I and Intermediate/Games II levels. One High in Trial will be offered each day to one dog/handler team that competes in all classes per day. HIT to be determined by highest score, then fastest time if score is tied. Fast Track Program Titles may be grandfathered from other organizations on a Fast Track basis. A dog with a higher title from another organization may move up on the same day to the next level of TDAA competition with a qualifying score but no higher than the comparable level. You must submit a copy of certificates from the organization in which the higher level title was earned for each dog. A dog eligible for Fast Tracking may only move up one class at a time and not skip over a class whether or not they met the criteria for a higher class in the first test. A dog moving up on the Fast Track will not be eligible for placement within the class that he received the qualifying score and will not earn a title or receive a title certificate for that level. Please mark the classes that apply on the Trial Entry form and submit an additional $8.00 with your entry (payable to COOL CRITTERS). Payment of this fee is no guarantee that your dog will qualify at the lower level (though he will have multiple chances at each), and is non-refundable. The Fast Track fee must be paid for this trial even if it was paid for a previous trial. 3

Notice to Exhibitors The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. All dogs must be on leash or crated at all times except when in the ring or when in designated areas, e.g., the warm-up area and the designated off leash area. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dog(s) and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the show committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Food and toys are not permitted in the course area and handlers are not allowed to use whistles or other instruments or devices. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. Exhibitors may wear shirts or insignia of their training group if they wish. At the handler s option, the dog may wear a flat (buckle or quick release) collar with or without tags or wear adornments, clothing, ties or other attachments. Choke collars, pinch collars, electric and dummy electric collars are prohibited. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including rough handling or misconduct of any kind, will result in an excusal from the ring. Teacup Dogs Agility Association Rules can be obtained online in the form of a PDF file at www.k9tdaa.com. Obstacles shall meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of the Regulations for Agility Trials. Exhibitors who do not clean up after their dog will be subject to dismissal with no refund of their entry fees. No dogs shall be left at the trial site overnight. TDAA and Cool Critters are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages or unprescribed drugs will be allowed on the grounds or in the building the day of a TDAA event. We encourage you to enter the games classes even if they seem unfamiliar to you we are sure that you will have lots of fun! Judge s briefing on day of trial supersedes any previous briefings. The judge will provide a thorough briefing to exhibitors and hard copies of the complete rules and qualifying requirements will be available. Example briefings are available on TDAA s Web site at www.k9tdaa.com. Black Hole: A numbered course requiring the handler to simply avoid any tunnels (black holes) with the dog. A dog that goes into a Black Hole is subject to a significant penalty. Scored time plus faults. Colors: A sequencing game. The handler has a choice of running any one of two short courses that are woven together on the field. Scored faults then time. Connect the Dots: The objective of this game is to accumulate points using handler s choice path that includes lines of obstacles between the dots (contact obstacles). Connect the Dots is scored points, then time. Four Leaf Clover: The dog performs a numbered sequence. The dog must first perform the weave poles (the stem of the 4-leaf clover) and then perform each of the leaves of the clover. The handler can earn bonuses for remaining in the containment area that is bounded by the jumps. The sequence ends when the dog makes his way back down the stem to the finish line. Near & Far: The objective of this game is to negotiate a numbered course without fault and under time. At two places on the course, the dog will have a distance challenge. This is the far part of the game. Petit Prix Qualifier: Qualifying rounds for the Petit Prix Tournament are being held at this event. The Tournament Rules are available online at http://wp.me/p18bml- 64, and are hereby incorporated by reference. All dogs registered with the TDAA are eligible to enter the Qualifying round, without regard to level of competition. The Qualifying round will be judged under Superior rules for performance, using Superior rates of travel. Body type and veteran s height exemptions shall be scored with their measured height without benefit of handicapping. Exemptions for Selfdeclared heights will not be recognized for play in the Petit Prix Qualifier rounds, or at the Petit Prix event itself.
