Females will be judged according to quality, uniformity, and usefulness by a team of at least 2 and up to 3 commercial cowmen. Premiums will be awarded to champion pens. Judges and sale management will set the sale order and may re-sort cattle if they feel it will result in a better marketable group. Any animal that does not fit the group will be sorted out and sold as individuals or can be taken home by consignor. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018. If a group qualifies for judging, a champion premium of $500.00, reserve champion premium of $250.00 and an honorable mention premium of $100.00 will be awarded. If numbers dictate sale management can modify these premiums. Brahman females will also be judged. Sale management, along with TBA representatives, will determine format. Approximately $7,500 in premiums will be awarded for cattle that are judged. SALE ORDER: Sale order of the females will be determined by the judges and sale management. The sale order will be available late Friday, March 16 th. MISCELLANEOUS: Sale management would prefer that the consignor have their cattle sorted the way they want them to be sold and have ear tag numbers written down as a group. It does not matter how the cattle are loaded on the trailer, the sale management will sort cattle into their pens when unloaded. A list of the group numbers is needed so use the attached Consignment Listing Form when you put in the ear tags and fax that form to: (979) 535-4445 or scan and email it to: milton@brokentrianglecattle.com. This form is very important to the sale management and will help with stalling assignments and catalog information. Consignors will be given names and addresses of buyers of their cattle and it will be mailed with sale proceed check. SALE PROCEED CHECKS WILL BE MAILED WITHIN 10 BUSINESS DAYS OF THE SALE. We expect to have a great sale. Have your cattle in good shape and ready to sell. This will result in an additional premium for your cattle. Saturday morning will bring folks interested in buying your animals. Be available to visit with prospective buyers and help sell your animal.
