INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT paces back and forth waiting for Alice to come home. She thinks she hears a sound and runs to the window to look out. False alarm. Her behavior slowly becomes more and more dog-like. She continues to pace. She suddenly has an uncontrollable urge to squat down. She notices herself squatting as if she was unaware, yet she can t resist. She goes to her hands and knees and begins to breathe heavy, which then turns into a panting. We hear the sound of keys opening the door. panics, and despite the resistance, she is able to stand up on her feet. Alice enters the door. Oh, thank God you re here. What s wrong? I think it s happening to me. What s happening to you? I feel like I m changing. What do you mean? Wait a minute. Are you talking about the accident at the lab last month? Yes. You said Eddy began to acquire canine characteristics, right? Karen, he was the only one contaminated. Besides, you weren t anywhere near the lab at the time. I m telling you, I don t feel well. I have these urges. Really weird urges.

Don t be ridiculous. Eddy only had minor symptoms for a few hours...and he had direct contact with the serum. Then why do I have this irresistible urge to pee on the carpet? Because you re nuts? Look, Karen. You ve been overworked for months. This is probably a...psycho-somatic reaction to the stress. Yeah, maybe you re right? Of course I am. Alice goes into the kitchen. Karen tries to relax. But can t resist the urge to go down all-fours. She begins to pant again. (O.C.) (CONT D) How about some Rocky Road ice cream? Karen begins to get excited and tries to wag her tail and bounce with excitement. Okay. Okay. Okay Alice comes back in and sees Karen on her hands and knees. The physical transformation has already begun. Karen now has a dog nose, paws and some fur. Karen? Suddenly we see a tail rip through Karen s clothing. Karen is now about 50% dog. Alice. Help me! Alice realizes the seriousness.

Oh my God, Karen. Oh my...just relax. Stay calm. Adrenaline will just advance your symptoms. I don t understand how you could have been effected? The serum was destroyed. The only one effected was Eddy. Karen now speaks with the occasional dog inflections. I have to think. I have to think before I get dog-stupid. (panting) How was Eddy contaminated? He spilled the serum on his lap. As soon as he began to display the symptoms, he took a shower and he was back to normal. Karen behaves more like an excited lap dog as she panics. On his lap? Yes. How much? Maybe a half liter. Why? Oh no. It must have been absorbed in his oil glands. That s the only way. What are you talking about? Alice, there s something I have to tell you. What, you have to go out...outside?

It s Eddy and I. We ve been seeing each other. What? How could you do this to me? (pause) Wait. How did you get contaminated? (pause) Oil glands! In his crotch!...and on his... (begins to cry)..you had sex with Eddy? I m so sorry, Alice. It just happened. Look, we can talk about that later, but right now you have to help me. You have to get an antidote. I can t believe you did this to me. You knew I was in love with him. Please, Alice. Oh...you...bitch! Alice storms out. Karen then transforms to 80% dog. CUT TO:
