LA GAZETTE October 2014 DELEGATE INTERVIEW ANDRÉ LIÉTARD, you are the regional delegate of Bourgogne and Champagne, can you define us your conception of delegate's role? A.L: the role of the regional delegate is simple! He owes be in touch with the departmental delegates to inquire possibly and help in the tasks falling to their function. As Regional delegate is often also delegated departmental, he has to be in the service of all the pointermem for any diverse information and helps. Unfortunately we do not collapse under the number of members. FOCUS ON The return of the big spring events in France, not only the European Cup but also the cuple of European championships of large and hunting quest for Pointer and English setter, will take place in France this year after about ten year of exile. All spring events including French Open will be gethered on last week of March and first week of April by leaving from the Marne to end in Pas-de-Calais. European championships will take place on 4 days with an alternation in Hunting Quest and Large Quest between Pointers and English setters. All the big international teams will be present : a meeting not to be missed for all the amateurs and the greenhorns who would like to get an idea of the discipline. The French Pointer Club and Club of the English setter are associated and already ready to get down to work for the organization of this big event, in partnership with the world of the hunting, the nature and the tourism. Looking for a puppy? LET S GO to www.pointerclub.fr! You produced several working champions under the affix "des chevêches", can you tell us the importance, for hunters, of the selection made by the breeders? A.L: No PUREBRED without selection! The breeders are aware of the importance of their role and make big efforts of selection by looking for the stalone that must match with their female, genealogy and titles. They present their future breeders to the diverse competitions. They breed with passion. No race can progress or decline without the work in common leaders of club, breeders and trainers. Which are also hunters! What is your feeling on the evolution of the pointer as well in the hunting as morphological? A.L: Everything evolves! Obviously the POINTER does not escape to this rule. Thanks to a largest number of users, breeders, more entousiasme and competitive spirit, we have for the greater part dogs well in the head, quiet and full of life, with good style and particularly efficient hunters. But nothing is definitive. It is necessary to be careful. THE DANGER: the big lack of small game or simply its total disappearance. Regrettably far too much laughs at it, Fortunately some administrators do not give up. Thank you. Contact : tpeltey@yahoo.fr Rejoignez-nous sur facebook! Photo Entête R. Colinet
