Welcome to our seventh New Forest and Hampshire County Show Poultry and Waterfowl Schedule. Following on from our successes of recent years we hope to welcome even more exhibitors and visitors to enjoy our Poultry Show. This year the Show s theme is Supporting the Countryside and we will be asking the public to vote for their favourite exhibit of the day. POULTRY, WATERFOWL AND EGG SHOW JUDGE: Mr I W Sissons, East Sussex Turkeys, Bantams, Large Fowl and Waterfowl JUDGE: Mrs W Shackel, West Sussex MINIMUM ENTRY: 15.00 Turkey Eggs, Bantam Eggs, Large Fowl and Waterfowl Eggs ENTRY FEES: TICKETS: 3.00 per cage 1.25p per plate of eggs One complimentary ticket with the minimum entry. Two complimentary tickets with 5 entries and over. All entries must be in by Monday 11th June 2018. All poultry and waterfowl supplied by Emer Farm Poultry, and transport boxes will be available. Traditional poultry housing and equipment will also be on display and for sale, together with incubators and veterinary advice.
RULES AND REGULATIONS Current DEFRA and Poultry Club rules and regulations will apply. 1. All birds entered must be free from internal and external parasite and to the best of the exhibitors knowledge be of good health. 2. Birds must be in the allocated Show cages by 7.30am, judging starts at 9.00am. Water will be provided in the pens but exhibitors must provide their own feed. Birds cannot be collected from their Show cages until 5.00pm. 3. All vehicles must be off the showground and in the allocated car parks by 8.00 am, no vehicles may re-enter the Showground until between 6pm and 7pm. 4. The organisers of the New Forest & Hampshire County Show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards whilst on the show grounds. 5. The New Forest & Hampshire County Show accepts no liability for theft or damage to persons or property. 6. In the event of a change being made after the schedules have been printed (i.e timing of classes or judge) every effort will be made to contact exhibitors. However it is the exhibitor s responsibility to ensure on arrival of the Show final times for competing etc. 7. Any exhibitor or other person deceiving or attempting to deceive the Society by entering birds in the wrong classes, ownership or name, contrary to these rules and regulations will forfeit the whole of the entrance fees and also any prize or prizes won at the Show. 8. The responsibility for the correctness of all entries rests with the owner or his agent. Any exhibitor withdrawing an exhibit after the closing date for entries will not be entitled to have entry fees refunded. 9. The Society reserves the right at any time to reject or cancel the entry or entries made by any person if they should deem it fit to do so and the right to cancel any class or classes, refunding any fees paid in respect thereof. The Society reserves the right to cancel any breed section or to amalgamate classes. 10. No appeal can be made against the decision of the judges, whose decision shall be final. The society will not be responsible for any error which may appear in the catalogue or any entry made in the wrong class, although every care will be taken to ensure accuracy. 11. The Society reserves the right to refuse admission to the Showground or to evict any exhibitor from the Showground. 12. All areas of the Showground and car park fall under the Road Traffic Act and therefore all drivers of vehicles must follow any signage displayed or the instructions of officials.
