Entry Levels Agillidogz Kennel Club UKA BAA Starters Grades 1-3 Beginners/Novice Introductory/Primary Intermediate Grades 3-4 Novice Primary/Novice Advanced Grades 5-7 Senior/Champion Novice/Graduate/Masters Veterans Anysize Juniors For dogs over 7 years old & once entered this class cannot move back to normal classes at Agillidogz shows. For dogs that do not run at their designated height for various reasons. For handlers under 18 years old. Rules are as standard classes and weaves may be included. Silent toys cannot be carried unless run Not for Competition (NFC). There is an overlap between Starters and intermediate for Grade 3 dogs, this is particularly aimed at new dogs starting to compete where their handler is a grade 3 at KC shows and the dog needs slightly easier courses. Dogs must stay in level eligible for at start of the season as we encourage consistency & confidence, unless handlers can prove they have been winning and want to move up a level. Please be aware that dogs cannot move back down once made that choice. If change level dog jumping at during the season, league points will not carry forward. Please speak to Sarah or Sharon if need any further help or advice or wish to move levels. Dogs can move to Anysize if need lower height and / or equipment i.e. been injured or need confidence building. Dogs can stay in that class all season or just for one or two shows but cannot compete in their eligible level at same show (each day) i.e. Anysize in the morning and Starters in the afternoon. 1. Maximum course time 60 seconds. 2. Up contacts will not be marked. 3. Flat Tunnels will not be used. Marking of Classes 4. 5. 6. In Starters Classes a silent toy (no squeaks!) may be carried in the ring during competition. (The toy MUST be kept in your hands, with no food inside and can only be given to the dog once the course has been completed. Please DO NOT throw the toy in the ring) In Veteran/Anysize classes the Dog Walk and A-frame will be lowered and there will be no seesaw, weaves or tyre. Results will be split into separate classes but dogs will compete together. Both rings will be surrounded by netting or permanent fencing and a space between both. Windbreaks will also be in place as an extra barrier between the two rings if required. Training / Running Not for Competition (NFC): Helping: Training is permitted in the ring but your run will be classed as NFC. If you are running NFC please do not use food in the ring and if using a toy DO NOT throw it in the ring. NFC runs must not exceed the maximum course time. NFC handlers can choose to run dogs at a lower height if prefer. No training permitted in the rings over lunch breaks. To enable the show to run smoothly, it would be appreciated if all competitors could give some time to assist on the rings. If everyone just did 15 minutes, then nobody would have to help for very long. If not sure how to do certain jobs please ask a member of the Agillidogz team, ring manager or fellow competitors who will be pleased to help and remember everyone has to start somewhere and the way most of us have made very good friends! Please indicate which slot would suit you best on your entry form but this is not set in stone, as any help at any time if very much appreciated. Nobody is expected to forego running their dog by helping.

Rosettes: Rosettes to a minimum 3 rd place. Please note this number is based on pay before the day entries. Heights will be split into Large / Standard & Medium / Small / Micro when entries permit. Dependent on entry levels, some levels may be combined for awards. Clear round rosettes available for all classes but not to be taken if receive a placed rosette Trophies/Prizes: Will be at our discretion depending on entries & the generosity of our Sponsors. Winter League: Winners of each level - All heights together unless entries over the season permit splitting into Large/Standard/Medium & Small/Micro, will win a lovely prize/trophy and special rosettes to at least 3 rd place. Presentations will take place at the end of the last winter show in Derby on Sunday 25 th March 2018. Points for Leagues: The top 10 dogs competing at these shows will gain points for the classes they are placed in. 1st place gains 11 points, 2nd place gains 10 points, 3rd place gains 9 points and so on. After 10 th place all clear rounds will gain 1 point. Points will be awarded in all classes apart from the Steeplechase Qualifier and any special Pay on the Day classes which may be held. All results from these shows & updated league tables will be available online after every show (within 2 days) and can be found on the Results & Leagues Section www.agillidogz.co.uk There will be 5 leagues as follows:- Starters Intermediate Advanced Anysize Veteran Progression & moving up a level after the Winter Season 2017/18: Dogs can stay in their eligible level each season regardless of how many wins, as this helps to gain consistency and confidence with your dog. If your dog has achieved two wins in Agility and two wins in Jumping you can request to move up a level during that season but will affect your league points as can t carry them over to the next level. Dogs who achieved 4 wins or above in Starters or Intermediate over the summer season 2017 MUST be moved up a level for the winter season. If your dog has been consistent over the summer season or was high up in the summer leagues but didn t gain 4 wins to automatically move up and you wish to progress a level, then you can request to move up. Please contact Sarah or Sharon if need any help or advice. Please ensure you change your level on your first entry form of the winter and state moved levels as will help Sarah & the admin team!
