Beginners: Elementary: Starters: Novice: Graduate: Senior: For completely new dogs and handlers to agility. May progress to Elementary following a win or are permitted to stay in Beginners for 10 days only of competing. The A-Frame and Dog Walk will be set at a lower height and there will be no weaves in these classes. (KC Grade 1 / BAA Introductory Dogs). For Handlers or Dogs who have not gained three wins (one of which must be an agility class) or elected to progress on points. Experienced handlers at KC Grades 1 to 3 or BAA Introductory to Novice may enter new dogs in these classes. (KC Grade 2 / BAA Primary Dogs). For Handlers or Dogs who are not eligible for Beginners or Elementary classes and have not gained three wins at Starters (one of which must be an agility class) or elected to progress on points. Experienced handlers at KC Grades 4 to 7 or BAA Novice+ may enter new dogs in these classes. (KC Grade 3 / BAA Novice Dogs). For Handlers or Dogs who are not eligible for Beginners, Elementary or Starters classes and are not eligible for Graduate or Senior classes. (KC Grades 4 & 5 / BAA Graduate Dogs). For Handlers or Dogs who have gained three wins at Novice (one of which must be an agility class) or have elected to progress on points, and are not eligible for Senior classes. (KC Grades 6 & 7 / BAA Masters Dogs). For Handlers or Dogs who have gained three wins at Graduate (one of which must be an agility class) or have elected to progress on points. Veterans: For dogs aged 8 years and over, these classes will have no Weaves, Flat Tunnel or Seesaw. The A- Frame or Dog Walk if used will be at a lower height. Jump heights will be Toy, Small and Medium. Dogs may jump whichever height suits them best, regardless of the dog s size. Dogs entered into Veterans classes may not enter any other class. Allsorts: A-Frame Enjoyment: Steeplechase: Power & Speed: Up & Under: Helter Skelter: Double Dogwalk: Clockwork Tunnels: Weaving Wonders: Tunnel Torment: Pairs: For dogs that the handler does not want to run at their measured height, or dogs coming back from injury etc. All equipment may be used. Jump heights will be Toy, Small and Medium. Dogs may jump whichever height suits them best, regardless of the dog s size. Dogs entered into Allsorts classes may not enter any other class. A course with an A-Frame as the only piece of contact equipment, the A-Frame will be negotiated three times. A simple flowing jumping course with no weaves. The power section is to be negotiated first and will consist of; contact equipment, weaves, spread jump and long jump. If this is completed without faults the handler then continues to the Speed Section, which is a short jumping course. The fastest Clear Round in the Speed Section is the winner. A jumping course consisting of tunnels and jumps only. A jumping course usually set in increasing or decreasing circles. A course with a dogwalk as the only piece of contact equipment, the dogwalk will be negotiated twice. A jumping course consisting of pipe tunnels and jumps, the course design styled like a clockface. A jumping course consisting of weaves and jumps only, this class is open to all grades. A jumping course including pipe tunnels which should not be negotiated. Open to all grades Each pair must have two dogs of the same height. RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Dogs entered at this show must have received appropriate agility training and be able to negotiate all equipment in a safe manner. 2. Entry fees 3.00 per dog per class, 6.00 per pair. 3. Beachside DAC reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. 4. Dogs under 18 calendar months of age on the day of the Show are not eligible to compete. 5. Dogs aged under four calendar months may attend the show not for competition, but are not permitted ringside. 6. No bitch in season or pregnant bitch is allowed to compete. 7. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time. 8. Dogs must not wear any type of slip, half-slip collar or lead, harness or muzzle when under test. A flat, close fitting, leather or webbing collar is permitted, providing the only attachment is a plain identification panel as an integral part of the collar i.e. not attached by a ring. 9. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the Judge or Judges. 10. Hurdle Heights (+/- 10mm tolerance): Toy 200mm, Small 350mm, Medium 450mm, Large 600mm. 11. The Height limit for dogs:- a. Toy Dogs For dogs measuring 32cm or less at the withers. b. Small Dogs - For dogs measuring between 26cm and 39cm at the withers. c. Medium Dogs - Dogs measuring between 37cm and 48cm at the withers. d. Large Dogs - Dogs measuring over 44cm at the withers. ~*~if your dog measures into two heights you may choose which height to enter them at)~*~ 12. A dog shall be withdrawn from competition and removed from an Agility Show if it is:- a. A bitch which is in season. b. Suffering from any infectious diseases or contagious disease. c. Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent. d. Of such temperament or is so much out of hand as to be a danger to the safety of any person or other animal. e. Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing. 13. In the event that the show is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, Beachside DAC will refund fees, less any incurred expenses, on receipt of a stamped addressed envelope submitted to the Show Secretary within one calendar month of the day of the show. 14. Food shall not be allowed in the ring, in hand or pockets. Bumbags, treatbags, training aids or toys are also not allowed in the ring. 15. Separate entry forms must be completed by each Competitor and must be signed by the Competitor or his authorised agent, entry forms will not be accepted without the correct payment of fees. 16. Any bank/postal charges incurred by the organisation as a result of competitors actions or circumstances will be recovered from said competitor. 17. No dogs suffering from infectious or contagious disease or having been exposed to such disease during the period of 21 days prior to the Competition may attend the show. 18. It is the competitors responsibility to be available for their class and running order. 19. Any handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s); failure to do so may result in removal from the show. 20. If your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused. 21. Verbal or physical abuse of persons or animals will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the show grounds. 22. All dogs are entered at this show at their owners risk and whilst every care will be taken, the management of the show will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property whilst at the show. 23. Beachside DAC reserves the right to limit or close entries before the published closing date if necessary. 24. Beachside DAC or their authorised agents may make results from this show publically available (including but not limited to the names of competitors and their dogs) and share results with third parties for the same purpose. Show information will be available at: www.reddogprocessing.com If you enter the show via iss you will be able to download a copy of your running orders from your iss account ~*~ It is a condition of this show that everyone helps for at least an hour each day ~*~ You will be allocated a time to help which will be displayed on the helpers list, if you need to change your allocated time for a more convenient one please see the ring manager the morning of the show. In case of cancellation of the show within 7 days of the show date, notification will be sent to the relevant web sites where possible and notified to the iss Show Hotline 07532 11 11 57. It will be the competitor's responsibility to check with the Hotline and/or the Web sites, if continuation of the show is in doubt.
