I Review Target Plate Moving hand to various positions Review Touch Pad Moving pad to various positions on the floor Week One X Handler walks over bars, bends down, and calls dog Dog should be thinking about his feet Contact Trainer w/ Touch Pad 8 legs on Contact Trainer Start on A-frame side only Click for up and on Beginning Hoola Hoop Stand on side, not blocking opening Steady hoop with one hand Other hand shows dog how to come through, hand moving slowly Review Circle Review Bow/Stretch V. Teach Clock Use the target plate & clicker (or praise & treat) to teach dog to go in around an object like a cone or a chair VI IX. Beginning Weave Poles Two poles bent 45 degrees Click the correct entrance (first weave pole on dog s left shoulder) Beginning Table Mini table, up and off Beginning (Skill for Teeter and Dogwalk) Teeter plank on blocks Click for up and on Goal is not to get whole plank just confident, happy walking YOU WILL RECEIVE LOANER EQUIPMENT (6 POLES, 6 STAKES, A HOOLA HOOP, AND 2 HOOP SUPPORTS) SO THAT YOU CAN PRACTICE AT HOME FOR THE DURATION OF THE PRE-AGILITY CLASS. THIS EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF CLASS OR PURCHASED FOR $20. Play with your dog in between exercises Review target plate and touch plate in a new location (3x max per session) Review Circle, stretch, clock, zig zag, back-up, leftt Review stay to a get it! Have dog follow your hand around cone Targeting to Hand Blind Cross Start with dog on your left, both of you facing the same direction Targeting to your left hand Take a few steps forward with dog touching hand & rewarding Step in front of his path, your back to him, keeping your hand at his nose Have dog target to right hand as you cross Dog is now on your right you have done a blind cross! V. Jumping Basics Jump Chute Gates up Bars on ground Handler walks over bars come to handler go to assistant Contact Trainer w/ Touch Pad 12 legs on Contact Trainer Start on A-frame side Using touch pad to mark contact zone, point to touch pad Repeat from DW side Review Hoola Hoop Approach from all angles Week Two V. Teach Tire Lowered to floor level Stand on side of hoop, not blocking opening Other hand shows dog how to come through, moving hand slowly VI IX. Table Small table From all directions Pipe Tunnel See-through pipe tunnel Handler off to side, not blocking opening Can lure, hand moving with dog Teach Chute Barrel Handler off to side, not blocking opening Can lure, hand moving with dog X.
