CLASSES Judges: TBA Class 1 Class 2 Open Steeplechase (jumps and pipe tunnel only) Open Agility (no weaves, no seesaw.) Note: There will be one ring which is enclosed by barrier fencing. All heights will run the same course. Entry fee is 10 per dog (2 runs in each class, 4 runs in total). Late entry on the day is 12 For one entry fee dogs are automatically entered in both classes, and run the same course twice, with the better scoring round counting towards the respective competition. Dogs can be run Not For Competition (NFC) or as a Training Round (TR) using a silent toy. If you are running as NFC or TR please inform the judge before you start. Course time for both Classes is 60 secs and competitors will be allowed the course time if they are eliminated. Order of competition Class 1 will run first with large, medium, and small dogs in that order. Followed by class 2 with small, medium and large dogs in that order. Please Note There will be NO running orders. Please collect your scribe sheets from the Ring Marshal as you get to the ring. Only send a SAE. If you require a receipt for your entry Dogs Height Classification and Jump height is as follows: Small: Dogs measuring 35cm or under at the withers. Jump Height 300mm Medium: Dogs measuring over 35cm & 43cm or under at the withers. Jump height 350mm Large: Dogs measuring over 43 cm at the withers. Jump height 450mm (UKA Standard and Large dogs) Note jump heights are lower than UKA and KC Marking: This will be in line with UKA Rules with the Judge s decision being final. Please tick the box on the entry form for the height your dog is eligible to enter: Height of dogs, see above. AWARDS Awards will be made for each height classification and a combined overall winner. Clear Round Rosettes Prizes: 1st place in all classes. Rosettes to 4th place. Clear Round Rosettes. (To be collected on the day during prize giving). Trophy to the Best overall winner in each height with the best score in both Agility and Steeplechase combined
Rules and Regulations 1. The entry fee is 10 per dog. Late entry on the day 12 2. The show will open at 8am. 3. The management reserves the right to refuse any entry. Entries received without fees paid in full will be charged late entry fee. Entry fees once accepted will be nonrefundable. 4. PLEASE NOTE There will be NO running orders posted to you. Your scribe sheet will be issued at the ringside for your first run. It is YOUR responsibility to hand your sheet to the scribe on entering the ring for your 1st round and to COLLECT it again on finishing your round to hand in again when you enter the ring for your 2nd round wherein the scribe will pass the completed sheet to the scorer for marking. Your best round will be counted towards competition 5. Puppies under 16 calendar months of age on the day of the show are not eligible for competition. 6. The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden. 7. No bitch in season is allowed to compete. 8. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within the boundaries of the Show. 9. Dogs must not wear slip chains, collars with attachments or leads when competing in the ring. 10. Should a judge be unable to fulfil the appointment to judge, the organisers reserve the right to appoint another judge. 11. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the Judge or Judges. 12. Show entries close 10th June 2018. 13. Standard UKA marking regulations will apply. 14. Jumps will be set at 3 heights. Dogs may only compete over one height. 15. No food at all to be carried, either in the hand or on the person, or given to the dog whilst it is in the ring. Silent toys can be uses for NFC runs 16. Judges may enter any dog for competition that is recorded in their ownership or part ownership in classes other than their own. 17. Withdrawal of dogs from Class. A dog shall be withdrawn from competition and removed from the Class if it is: a) A bitch in season b) Suffering from any infectious or contagious disease c) Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent d) Of such temperament or so much out of control to be a danger to the safety of any person or another animal e) Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues to compete. 18. It is the competitors responsibility to be available for their class. 19. Puppies and Non-Competing dogs can be brought to the show for socialisation as long as they have been inoculated without being entered on the entry form. Also, any dogs registered to assist the disabled, or dogs required for educational or instructional purposes or by permission of the Committee. 20. All dogs will be entered at this Show at their owner's risk, and whilst every care will be taken, The Organisers will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury, howsoever caused, to dogs, people or property whilst at this show.
21. No dog will be allowed in the ring at any time other than when being judged, no practising will be allowed in the ring. 22. Handlers/owners are expected to clean up after their dogs and we request that they take their bags home with them. Anyone knowingly not doing so may be asked to leave the venue and forfeit any remaining class entries. 23. Dogs are to be on leads except when in the designated exercise area or when under test. Please comply! 24. Scovellsway cannot be held responsible for loss, damage or injury to dogs, persons or property whilst at the show. 25. In unforeseen circumstances the Organisers, in consultation with the judges may alter arrangements as necessary. In the case of cancellation of the event after entries have closed, organisational costs may be deducted from entry fees. Welfare of dogs An exhibitor (or competitor) whose dog is entered at an event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise Warning: if you leave your dog in your vehicle and your dog is deemed to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused. CHILDREN UNDER 16: The duty of care remains with the parent(s) or other accompanying responsible adult(s) at all times. ALL DOG WASTE MUST BE PICKED UP AND PLACED IN BINS PROVIDED (See Regulation 22) DOGS MUST BE KEPT UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES AND ON A LEAD UNLESS ON DESIGNATED EXERCISE AREA (See Regulation number 23.
