A simple flowing jumping course with no weaves. A jumping course usually set in circles. A jumping course usually set in increasing or decreasing circles. A course which includes tunnels which are to be negotiated. The power section is to be negotiated first and will consist of; contact equipment, weaves, spread jump and long jump. If this is completed without faults the handler then continues to the Speed Section, which is a short jumping course. The fastest Clear Round in the Speed Section is the winner. A jumping course you continue to negotiate till you re faulted, then you re out. The competitor who keeps going the longest with no faults wins. Open to all grades and heights Fancy dress is compulsory no fancy dress, no run! Beginners: Elementary: For dogs and handlers completely new to agility. The combination may progress to Elementary at any stage. Alternatively, the handler may compete in Beginners for a maximum of 10 Competition (Show) days regardless of the number of new to agility dogs he or she is running. The A-Frame and Dog Walk will be set at standard height. There will be no weaves or See-Saw in these classes. A silent toy is permitted to be carried in the ring by the handler as a training aid, but must not be thrown whilst in the ring. (KC Grade 1). For Handlers or Dogs who have not gained three wins (one of which must be an agility class). Experienced handlers at KC Grades 1 to 7 or Beachside Starters to Senior may enter new dogs in these classes.
Starters: Novice: Senior: Veterans: Allsorts: (KC Grade 2). For Handlers or Dogs who are not eligible for Beginners or Elementary classes and have not gained three wins at Starters (one of which must be an agility class). (KC Grade 3 & 4). For Handlers or Dogs who have gained four wins at Starters (one of which must be an agility class). (KC Grades 5, 6 & 7). For Handlers or Dogs who have gained six wins at Novice (three of which must be an agility class). For dogs aged 8 years and over, these classes will have no Weaves or Seesaw. The A-Frame and Dog Walk (if used) will be at a lower height. Jump heights will be Toy, Small and Medium. Dogs may jump whichever height suits them best, regardless of the dog s size. Dogs entered into Veterans classes are not permitted to enter any other classes. Once a dog has competed at Veteran they are not permitted to move back to a standard class. For dogs that the handler does not want to run at their measured height, or dogs returning from injury. Weaves and Seesaw will not be used in these classes. The height of the A-frame & Dog Walk if used will be lowered. Heights will be Toy, Small and Medium only. Dogs may jump whichever height suits them best, regardless of the dog s size. Dogs entered in Allsorts classes are not permitted to enter any other classes. Dogs entered at this show must have received appropriate agility training and be able to negotiate all equipment in a safe manner. 2. Entry fees 3.25 per dog per clas, 6.50 per pair (pay on the day [POTD] entries will count towards competition, but will incur an additional charge). 3. Beachside DAC reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. 4. Dogs under 18 calendar months of age on the day of the Show are not eligible to compete. 5. Dogs aged under four calendar months may attend the show not for competition, but are not permitted ringside. 6. No bitch in season or pregnant bitch is allowed to compete. 7. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time. 8. Dogs must not wear any type of slip, half-slip collar or lead, harness or muzzle when under test. A flat, close fitting, leather or webbing collar is permitted, providing the only attachment is a plain identification panel as an integral part of the collar i.e. not attached by a ring. 9. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the Judge or Judges. 10. Hurdle Heights (+/- 10mm tolerance): Toy 200mm, Small 350mm, Medium 450mm, Standard 550mm, Large 600mm. 11. The Height limit for dogs:- a. Toy Dogs For dogs measuring 32cm or less at the withers. b. Small Dogs - For dogs measuring between 26cm and 39cm at the withers. c. Medium Dogs - Dogs measuring between 37cm and 48cm at the withers. d. Standard Dogs - Dogs measuring over 44cm at the withers. e. Large Dogs - Dogs measuring over 44cm at the withers. ~*~if your dog measures into two heights you may choose which height to enter them at)~*~ 12. A dog shall be withdrawn from competition and removed from an Agility Show if it is:- a. A bitch which is in season. b. Suffering from any infectious diseases or contagious disease. c. Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent. d. Of such temperament or is so much out of hand as to be a danger to the safety of any person or other animal. e. Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing. 13. In the event that the show is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, Beachside DAC will refund fees, less any incurred expenses, on receipt of a stamped addressed envelope submitted to the Show Secretary within one calendar month of the day of the show. 14. Food shall not be allowed in the ring, in hand or pockets. Bumbags, treatbags, training aids* or toys are also not allowed in the ring. (*no training aids will be allowed in the ring other than a silent toy in the Beginners classes only. This may be thrown for the dog only after the dog has left the ring, and with due consideration to competitors, dogs, and bystanders outside of the ring area). 15. Separate entry forms must be completed by each Competitor and must be signed by the Competitor or his authorised agent, entry forms will not be accepted without the correct payment of fees. 16. Any bank/postal charges incurred by the organisation as a result of competitors actions or circumstances will be recovered from said competitor. 17. No dogs suffering from infectious or contagious disease or having been exposed to such disease during the period of 21 days prior to the Competition may attend the show. 18. It is the competitors responsibility to be available for their class and running order. 19. Any handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s); failure to do so may result in removal from the show. 20. If your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused. 21. Verbal or physical abuse of persons or animals will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the show grounds. 22. All dogs are entered at this show at their owners risk and whilst every care will be taken, the management of the show will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property whilst at the show. 23. Beachside DAC reserves the right to limit or close entries before the published closing date if necessary. 24. If you choose to download your ring cards you are agreeing for the information on them to be publicly viewable online. 25. Beachside DAC or their authorised agents may make results from this show publicly available and share results with third parties for the same purpose.
