Use a separate form for each hound. General Information 1. There will be a $5.00 fine assessed for any loose hound not taking part in course in progress. IGCA will strictly enforce this assessment. 2. All hounds will run twice, in trios if possible, or braces unless excused, dismissed or disqualified. Course will be reversed for finals and run-offs. 3. Hounds not present at the time of Roll Call will be scratched after 5-minute grace period. 4. BITCHES IN SEASON AND LAME HOUNDS WILL BE EXCUSED. Each entry will be examined at inspection for breed disqualifications. Spayed or neutered hounds, without breed disqualifications, may be entered. MONORCHID OR CRYPTORCHID HOUNDS MAY NOT BE ENTERED. 5. Equipment will be battery powered continuous loop lure machines. The lure will consist of white plastic strips. Back-up equipment will be available. 6. Field Committee reserves the right to bar aggressive dogs from the event site. 7. Incomplete, unsigned, conditional or unpaid entries will not be accepted. No fax or on-line entries will be accepted. Entries will NOT be acknowledged by mail. 8. Muzzles are not required, but are permitted at the handler's discretion. 9. Stakes shall be split each time the entry is sufficient to hold 2 or more 5-point majors. 10. No entry fees will be refunded if the Test/Trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes, or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Field Committee. 11. The Club, Field Committee, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, theft, damage, injuries or death sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any dog or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children while at or on the Trial grounds, or in transit to/from the Trial grounds. 12. Dogs must be ready for judging. Judges need not wait for dogs holding up a stake. 13. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified or dismissed by a judge, barred from competition by action of the Field Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to a check being returned. The returned check must be made good by cash or money order before the dog will be entered correctly. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. 14. Any entry found unfit to compete, lame, or to have a breed disqualification, or bitches in season shall be barred from competition and entry fees shall be refunded. Exception: Hounds with breed disqualifications may run in Singles. 15. The Club and/or Trial Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry form by the owner or agent of the owner. The Club and/or the Trial Secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or owner's agent for entering a dog in a stake in which the dog is not eligible to compete 16. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by electronic mail prior to the close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable. 17. (About 20 miles west of I- 270/St.Louis). Go north on Hwy 100 until you spot Hwy MM and the Purina Farms sign (approximately 1/2 mile). Turn left onto Hwy. MM and drive about 3/4 mile until you reach the Purina Sheep and Cattle Barns on your left and a silo on the right. Field is located on our right behind the barns. If you find yourself at the main visitors' gate for Purina Farms, you have gone too far. From Kansas City Take I-70 east to the Warrenton exit at Hwy. 47. Go south on Hwy. 47 for approximately 25 miles until you reach Hwy. 100 in Washington. Turn left onto Hwy. 100 and continue to I-44 (approximately 10 miles). Go east on I-44. All entries in the regular stakes shall be individually registered with the AKC, an AKC recognized foreign or AKC Board approved registry. Dogs with an Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) or a Purebred Alternate Listing (PAL) from the AKC shall be considered registered with that body. STAKES OFFERED: OPEN: Open to all hounds that have obtained an AKC Qualified Courser certificate. This requirement will be waived for hounds that have earned a Field Championship title from the American Sighthound Field Association (ASFA) or the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). ASFA or CKC Field Champions must submit a copy of their title certificate to the host club when they enter their first AKC Open Stake. This copy must be included when the results of the trial are sent to the AKC. Championship points earned from the Open Stake will only count toward a Field Champion title. Hounds that have earned an AKC Field Championship title of record are not eligible to enter the Open Stake. SPECIAL: Open to all hounds that have earned their AKC Field Championship titles. Championship points earned from the Specials Stake will count toward Lure Courser Excellent titles. Qualifying scores earned from the Specials Stake will count toward a Senior Courser or Master Courser title. VETERAN: is offered at the option of the host club. Open to all hounds which are eligible to enter Open or Special stakes and meet the age requirement for a veteran as established by the breed s parent club. Championship points will be awarded. Points won from the Veteran Stake may count toward either a Field Championship title or Lure Courser Excellent title. SINGLES: Open to all Italian Greyhounds. Hounds with breed disqualifications are eligible to enter. Hounds entered in the Singles Stake shall not be allowed to enter the regular stakes (Open, Specials or Veteran) at the same event. Each hound shall run the course alone. The order of running shall be determined by random draw. Judges shall score a dog s performance the same as a regular stake. Placements shall be awarded based on the combined preliminary and final course scores. The winner of the stake shall not be eligible to compete in Best of Breed Breed. Hounds under disqualification from AKC, ASFA or CKC Field Trials may NOT be entered. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CAMPING PERMITTED AT THE TRIAL SITE.
TESTS OFFERED: Qualifying Courser (QC): Open to eligible hounds. The qualifying hound will run with another hound, completing a (minimum) 600-yard course with a minimum of 4 turns. The qualifying hound must complete the entire course with enthusiasm, without interruption, and without coursing, interfering with, or aggressing on the other hound. Owner of qualifying dog must provide or arrange for a hound of like running style for their hound to run with in this test. COURSE PLAN: COURSE DISCLAIMER: The members of IGCA reserve the right to alter the course plan as required by weather and/or field conditions on the day of the Event. Junior Courser (Test): Open to eligible hounds. A hound running alone must receive a certification from a Judge on one date, and a second certification from a different Judge at a later date, with each Judge stating that the hound completed a (minimum) 600-yard course with a minimum of 4 turns. The hound must complete the entire course with enthusiasm and without interruption. Ribbons (Dark Green) will be awarded to all hounds that successfully complete the AKC Junior Courser Test.
