Chairman. Entries will not be officially accepted by the Department Chairmen until payment is received. Deadline: Postmarked by Friday, July 20, 2018. Entry Fees: $1.00 per rabbit $2.00 per doe and litter $1.00 single fryer & meat pen All open rabbits will be accepted between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2018, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A copy of your health papers must be presented to the Department Chairman at check-in. NO animals can be removed before Sunday, August 26, 8:00 AM. The Fair Veterinarian, Dr. Nicole Drummond, is responsible for supervising checking in animals onto the Fairgrounds and has the final word on removal of animals from the grounds for health reasons. If a Veterinarian is needed for any other medical reason, you as the exhibitor, are responsible for all treatment costs incurred. Show Rules: One (1) Doe & Litter per exhibitor. Litter to consist of 6 or more babies. No more than 5 animals per class per exhibitor. 20 rabbits per exhibitor and 50 rabbits per household. No substitutes. This is an official A.R.B.A. Sanctioned Show and will be governed by the latest revised show rules of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and filing of entry designates acceptance of same. This is an official sanctioned Dutch Show. Health Requirements for Pennsylvania Rabbits: 1. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued after May 1, 2018. A copy of your health papers must be presented to the Department Chairman at check-in. 2. All animals must be free of evidence of infectious and contagious diseases. Animals appearing unhealthy upon arrival may not enter the Fairgrounds. 166

An Animal Owner or Caretaker s Verification of Veterinary Consultation Relationship statement for the animals being exhibited must be included with a signature line on the registration (entry) form. Animals entering with a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) are exempt from this statement. All rabbits will be checked before entering the rabbit barn. Health Requirements for Out of State Rabbits 1. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued within 30 days prior to the opening date of the Fair is required. 2. All animals must be free of infectious and contagious disease and a statement of this is required on the CVI (the statement is pre-printed on the CVI.) Animals appearing unhealthy upon arrival may not enter the Fairgrounds. 3. The latest rules of the American Rabbit Breeders Association will govern. 3. All rabbits must have a permanent ear mark in the left ear; including meat pens, single fryers, and does and litters. 167
4. There will be Senior, Intermediate, and Junior classes in all breeds maturing at 10 pounds or over. 5. Meat pens will consist of three (3) rabbits - all the same breed and variety. Age of litter not over 70 days, weight of 3 ½ to 5 ½ pounds.
