But if you can spare a bit of time between now and the show and most especially during the show and the days immediately surrounding it we would love to hear from you! To find out more, come to any club meeting, or to any Event Team meeting; or you can contact Show Chair Cathy Wright (cathlynwright@hotmail.com) or myself (lcbergstrom@gmail.com) and we ll hook you up. Have you heard? From Sandra Gould: At Greater Los Angeles Scentwork Club trial, March 10, Tippet entered ten events and qualified in all. He earned his container, advanced title, which earned him his Scentwork Advanced title (meaning he has advanced title in all four elements: container, exterior, interior and buried). He earned his handler discrimination advanced title, too. He is the first PWD in the U.S. to have earned these titles. From Debbie Tull and Beth Rogers: Zip was stylin in her new Iggy Collars coursing lead at the Shasta Kennel Club AKC Fast Cat. Her fastest run of 29.56 mph ranks her currently as #3 All American Dog for 2018! From Roxy Crawford: We would like to introduce 'Aqueus Dancing Pines' aka 'Scout' to the group! She s a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever from Davis, CA and has been a great addition to our family. We look forward to pursuing lots of different performance events in her future! From Beverly Morgan Lewis: On March 10 at the American Bloodhound Club's trial in Santa Rosa, after a bit of a dry spell, Druid finished his PACh2. That means he's completed the requirement for his agility championship twice. He did this in just a little over a year from his first championship. Now we're going to try for a Grand Champion. From Tina Moulton: At the Shasta Kennel Club Shows in Anderson, CA this month, Raya - GCH Rovente s Ray of Light at Jo-Na-Da went BOB and OHBOB all 4 days, with a OHG4 on Saturday as well. That Bronze Grand is soooo close! Little Bisous - Jo-Na-Da s Black Cat Kisses finally broke her long reserve streak by going Winners Bitch three out of four days. Saturday was vintage dress up day. I took it seriously ;-) From Marilyn Cottrell: Bayley did her first Scentwork trial in Ferndale! We learned a lot. She now has a qualifying leg in Containers and 1 in Exteriors and placed 2nd in Exteriors. We were happy about it, all in all, and plan to do it again! Have you heard? From Sara Borok: Hildy got her first BOB and another BOS at the Anderson show. Karma picked up 2 more selects. From Kris and Bayard Smith: People often ask, What do you with Scottish Deerhounds? The answer is, now that they aren t allowed to hunt deer, we race, lure course, and show. We did all three in the last three weekends. On March 10 and 11 we them to Redding for LGRA straight racing one day, and NOTRA oval racing on the next. Opal and Colin participated in a field of five dogs. Opal squeezed out a win for both meets. Next was lure coursing, in Oakley. Opal and Colin ran in a field of three Deerhounds, and came second and third. The winner went on to capture Best in Field. They both had an extra run, as they each went back to run with another Deerhound to qualify them to compete. Last weekend it was conformation showing for Opal and Neida on Saturday and Sunday of the new Shasta Kennel Club cluster. Saturday, Opal took a Best Opposite, and Neida got the bitch point. Sunday, it was Best of Breed for Opal, and another winners point for Neida. Everyone went home happy. LCKC_March_2018 6
