Meet The 2017 K-9 Royal Court Queen Anastasia Starner Age 16 Stacey is the daughter of Rebecca Starner and is from Wellington, Ohio. She has been a 4-H member K9 Companions for 9 years and has also been active in Carteens and as a Camp Counselor. Stacey attends Wellington High School Her future plans are to double major in business and accounting and would like to open a dog shelter. Kaitlynn Thiery Age 18 Kailynn is the daughter of Susan Thiery and is from Vermillion, Ohio. She has been a 4-H member of Amherst Critters and Such for 9 years. Kaitlynn is also very active in Leo Club, BPA, Legion for Vermilion High School, Track, Soccer 4H Beach Clean Up, Skills U.S.A., Girl Scouts helper. Kaitlynn attend EHOVE. Her future plans are VMT and Ohio Business College. Victoria Ramage Age 16 Victoria is the daughter of Cindy and Nick Ramage and is from Wakeman, Ohio. She has been 4H member for 7 years currently with K9 Companions and 2 year FFA member Western Reserve FFA. She has also been active in helping reach out program for young Volleyball and clean up at the Speedway in Norwalk. Victoria attends Western Reserve High School. Her future plans are to attend college in Pre Vet medicine.

Princess Taylor Wallace Age 13 Taylor is the daughter of Kim Wallace from Elyria, Ohio. She has been a 4-H member of Rural Rebels for 5 years and is currently President of her club. In addition to her 4-H club she is also a Junior Fair Board Assistant and Cloverbud Camp Counselor this year. She is also a member of Lorain County Shooting Sports Club. She is also active in Midview Band. Taylor attends Midview Schools. Her future plans to pursue a career in animal care industry. Prince Francisco Isaiah Torres Age 14 Isaiah is the son of Megan and Francisco Torres from Lorain, Ohio. He has been a 4-H member of Bits & Spurs, Four Leaf Clovers and K9 Companions for the past 6 years. He has held office of Treasurer and Booth Committer at his clubs. He is also active in Boy Scouts, JROTC. Isaiah attends Elyria High School and his future plans are to pursue a Military Career. Scott Latecki Age 12 Scott is the son of Bonnie Husman from Elyria, Ohio. He has been a member of Elyria Precious Pups and Projects for 3 years. Scott is past treasurer of his club. Scott is also active in his schools Student Council and Safety Patrol. He attends Northwood and Westwood Middle School. His future plans are to attend either College or a Tech School Alexander Malik Age 12 Alex is the son of Sarah and Peter Malik from Elyria Ohio. He has been a 4-H member of Rural Rebels for 5 years. He is currently Vice President of his club. Alex is also active in Midview School Band, and Boy Scouts. Alex attends Midview Intermediate School. His future plans are to become a Police Officer or State Highway Patrol Officer.

What To Take To A Fun Show! Making a tack box out of a small toolbox or canvas bag can make getting ready for a show or just going to a club meeting with your dog a lot easier. 1. Your Dog should be bathed and groomed 2. Your dogs choke or Quick Release (For Agility shows) collar and 6 Obedience and Showmanship leads. 3. A water dish and water 4. Create or Blanket for your dog to lie on. 5. Lawn chairs for you and your parents 6. Dog s comb & brush and treats (if you use them) 7. Your project and reference books 8. This number identifies you and your dog for all the shows you attend in 2017. You are responsible for your number, should you loose your armband another can be purchased for $1.00. If you are showing two dogs make sure you are wearing the right number for the dog on the other end of your lead. Dog Walk Passes Are now being printed at the Fun Shows All exhibitors who enter the County Fair Dog Shows must have a Dog Walk Pass distributed by Dog Council for Sr. Fair Board. Passes will be distributed to exhibitors at fun shows. Dogs that are not entered in the County Fair Dog Shows will not be given a Dog Walk Pass. Your pass requires a Head and Shoulder 1 x 1 picture of your dog. This will be laminated to the pass. Please get your pictures taken and bring them with you to up coming fun shows. As soon as Dog Council gets the passes from Sr. Fair Board we will begin to laminate them. You can not use last years pass. The dates will be wrong. 2017 Lorain County Fair Dog Walk Pass Name: Dog Name Description of Dog Dress Code Fun shows and Fair are meant to be enjoyed. You are expected to dress comfortably according to the weather. But there are a few rules: No Jeans or Shorts Soft Soled Shoes, No Sandals or Filp Flops No Shirts With Advertising No Club Shirts No Tank Tops Skirts Must come at Least to the Knee Long Hair should be tied back.

Fun Show Participation Requirement Before the fair each exhibitor is required to attend at least two shows with each dog they are showing to qualify to show at the fair. Following is a list of fun shows. Dog Council recommends that exhibitors and their dogs attend as many shows as possible for practice and socialization. Reminder!! If you have not attended your two required shows, you only have three (3) more shows to do so. There are no exceptions to this rule. Bleachers Are For Spectators It is dangerous for your dog to be in the bleachers at the show barn during a show. He could fall and take you with him. We also ask that you not sit on the first row of the bleachers with your dog. Spectators will also be walking back and fourth in front of the bleachers, stepping over or on your dog. Use either the indoor or outdoor crating area. During the fair Jr. Fair Board Dog Committee members have the right to dismiss you from the show if you choose to ignore a warning to stay out of the bleachers with your dog. For both fair shows, Monday August 21st and and Tuesday August 22nd, we asking that all dogs be created, if possible, for their own, exhibitors and spectators safety. Dogs should only be out of their creates for exercise or when going to the ring. There will be a creating area inside the barn as well as an area outside on the north side of the building. Please do not create your dog in the doorways. Dog Council will have passes that will allow you into the fairgrounds to load and unload creates. These are limited and will need to be shared. The same rules apply to the Agility Show on Tuesday night.

The sportsman exhibitor accepts constructive criticism The Sportsman respects the Junior and Senior Fair bylaws, rules, regulations and policies governing the 4-H Dog Program. Sportsmen welcome, encourage and support newcomers to the sport. Sportsmen always consider as paramount the welfare of their dog. Sportsmen accept the judges decisions with grace and respect. Please Remember The Judges Decision is always Final Advisors and Parents are NOT allowed in the show ring area without Jr. Fair Board permission. If you have a question for the judge wait until the judge is not judging a class. Most questions can be directed to the ring steward.
